Great A350 tutorial flight (real instructor)

I came across this fantastic video of an A350 instructor for one of the major airlines. He is using the inibuilds A350 to demonstrate how to operate the aircraft. I found it thoroughly absorbing and picked up a few tips.

He also points out a few navigation bugs in the A350 flight management system (just in case inibuilds see this thread).

II loved it, well worth a watch

I don't actually understand how he can find the time to fly for real???

He's a long hauler and I think he brings a laptop and sim stuff with him on trips. Besides on an off day he can queue a bunch up.

Then there is v1 who frequently drops real world flights to stream.

So let me get this straight:

Just because you don't understand how the schedule of a long haul pilot works he is a hoax, because according to you he should not have that amount of time to prerecord as much as he does.

You make quite the fool out of yourself.

@Farlis I don't think  @Vitold69 meant to imply that, just as I myself wrote in the thread "I don't actually understand how he can find the time to fly for real???" as an exclamation because, indeed it makes me feel tired just to think someone involved in long / medium / short haul flights can still find the energy to record the tutorials and product reviews some youtubers, who are also RL airline pilots, do...

I do not doubt A330 Driver, BlackBox 711, V1, 320 Sim Pilot, etc... are active airline pilots, it just puzzles me how they can find slots in their daytime to record sometimes really complex streams... Kudos tho them !

Just out of curiosity, I installed the INIBUILDS 350-9/10 and they work OK in FS 2024 SU3 flighting version 1.5.10.0, or at least I didn't experience any CTD in a flight from Nice to Lisboa 👍

Ah and, btw, after the flight I tried to test FBW simulation and envelope protection in the 350 and ... well... I could easily trick it and stall and actually enter and inverted spin under Normal Law... 😆 but for "within the normal operational envelope" flights it performs acceptably, I believe...

Thanks for the pointer. I've only watched the first twenty seconds so far (multiple times) -- really great video editing. The way those LED effects on the computer booting up are synchronized to the beat of the music is no coincidence. Looking forward to the actual aviation content -- but I've got a feeling it's going to be great.

To me, his videos on the ATR are not as good as the others..., but the rest are good enough in my opinion. I don't have the iniBuilds A350 (or, at least, yet, waiting for it to leave the beta phase 😄)

I've just purchased LPPT by MK Studios this morning to visit you mate 😀I like the geography around the airport.

That video confirmed some suspicions about the IniBuilds A350 I've had for a while when flying it.

a) The sounds in the flightdeck a wildly off. For example the sound of the bumping nose gear during taxi, but also the entire take off roll phase.

b) BTV Turnover calculation is nonexsitant. It says 70/100 in all circumstances. A 90€ add on does not get this right after 12 updates but a free A380 does...

I use the default, which is not bad at all, although the MK Studios looks really good from videos and screens I've seen.

You're welcome to LPPT !!! I work right at the old tower or at the aeronautical meteorology center in the main buildings... 🙂

Lisbon is a nice town to visit... Portugal is beautiful !!! Gals are the most sexy in the whole Galaxy !!! 😜

For all those complaining about the flight model, this is yet another real life A350 pilot who confirms that it's actually fairly accurate (he does so in the comments.) The plane is very sensitive in real life in both pitch and roll.

I think the problem most are experiencing is likely due to the controller they are using. If you're using something like the TCA Airbus side stick, or something cheaper, it won't have enough dampening or precision to allow you to fly the plane like you are supposed to - with very small and precise movements in both axes.

This video almost makes me want to buy it.  I am still very scared though.

I say wait. It is good but overpriced for what it delivers. Wait until they iron out more bugs and flaws in the system modelling then wait for a discount.
