July 10, 2025Jul 10 Pets will choose their humans, it's true. Many years ago, during the housing market crash and several houses in my neighborhood became "bank owned", we had a cat show up on our back porch. He would sit on the porch rail and try to look through the door. When my wife or I went outside, he would approach us. We tried to shoo him away as we already had two cats, but even when I sprayed him with the garden hose, he would get just out of range of the hose, then sit and watch, then return. Since he had adopted us, we ended up adopting him and took him to the veterinarian to be checked out and neutered. He was a very well behaved cat and was actually courteous to our older cats. He did not fight with them, he gave them their space and when it came to feeding time, he sat and waited for us to feed the older cats first. Sadly, as mysteriously as he appeared, he also disappeared. My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.
