Do you have the testbed engineering sample already then Rob?

Yes, but still trying to get clearance to Area 51 so I can test it.

Logically I'd go with @St Mawgan.  If AMD IS the cause, then those with non AMD systems wouldn't experience the issue.  I do not know enough about the issue to sway what the cause is, but it stan

  • That should be more than enough to run MSFS 2024 at high to ultra settings 👍

Did the bank robbery go south?  or is that North?

Banks? What are they?

They were buildings that stored currency in the form of paper notes that could be freely exchanged for goods and services, preferably without informing tax authorities.

So your visuals benefit from SSAA and look better.  All in one's eye of course, but I'd do that just because I can.  no-one else has to of course, but it IS possible if you want to utilise the cards hardware fully for a super AA'd image.

When I installed 4090 and decided frame generation was a net loser I wanted to use some of the power in 4090 and so ran render scale at 140-150 and enjoyed the improved sharpness.  The sharpening hack mentioned above kind of obviates that and so now have dropped RS down to 115 or so.

What resolution do you run?

I have a 4090 and run at 4K with settings maxed in 2024 and it gets around 60 FPS flying GA but dips to 45FPS at a busy add-on airport. I find FG and DLSS Quality to be a winning combo. I get FG FPS from 80-116 (max for my 120Hz display). Using Auto FPS it targets 90-100FPS giving me 500-800 TLOD and 300 OLOD giving me amazing visuals on top of all this.

With the new DLSS DLLs, the issue with instruments being less sharp is no longer an issue with DLAA/DLSS and distant objects actually look sharper than with TAA.

To each, their own.   I use 2 screens and am constantly going back and forth between them, and with every return to the main display I get the judder, unavoidable w/ NV DLSS FG.  Next is the heinous strobing on the taxiway one sees during taxi and with panning in certain high contrast environments and lighting.  I tryied to like FG but those and a few other artifacts just make it not worth using here.  I did prior to obtaining my current CPU and now I can sustain 50FPS-native in almost everywhere I go in the most demanding planes, and w/ the rare drop below 50FPS-native Gsync helps.  And as for FG and DLSS, I use TAA and so avoid the smearing/ghosting characters on the speed tape or other characters susceptible to that.  I agree there is more 'swimming' w/ TAA in the distance but I rarely focus on areas where that can manifest.  Whereas looking as smearing characters in the VC is always visible.

I run 3440x1440 native, w/ an RS of 115, so whatever that boosts to.  I also use the fabulous sharpness registry hack that activates a certain kind of sharpening in NV Control Panel and it's excellent.

Yeah, for sure... running two screens like that is a non-starter for frame gen as it only works when the window has focus.
