July 22, 2025Jul 22 He's not really part of my cultural gestalt: I guess I knew of him the same way I knew of the Beatles, and he remained a presence that reminded me of times I was never really a part of. Nonetheless I can feel that another piece of living history that we can never get back is gone forever. July 22, 2025Jul 22 God rest his soul. Not my musical genre either. If you want a good laugh, watch the episode of the Osbourne's with the "hello Albuquerque" bit. Perfect example of a man being bested by his wife. Classic! Tom MAKA = Make America Kind Again

July 22, 2025Jul 22 I will admit I was a very big OZZY fan when I was around 12 to 13, that was around the time Blizzard of Ozz came out and I would have played that record down to the bones. That was short lived as by the time I was 14 my music taste had changed. As an adult I discovered him again on that TV show and admired him again because of how he was in his personal life, a really cool dude and funny I can listen to some of those old Black Sabbath songs today he had an amazing voice, I think Paranoid is his best song Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
July 23, 2025Jul 23 One of the founders of heavy metal music, he was a living legend. Rest in peace, Ozzy, you no longer have to ride on the crazy train. July 24, 2025Jul 24 https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/news/ozzy-osbourne-farewell-show-performance-health-heavy-metal-b2794297.html Raised 140 million and many metal bands turned up. And he didnt forget his home town, some of the money went to Birmingham Children's Hosital. The hospital my son attended when he was little. "proceeds from the concert would be split between Cure Parkinson's, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice."
July 24, 2025Jul 24 IMHO, Ozzy Osbourne was the symbol of rebellion for many teenagers such as myself back in the day. The alleged "bat incident" only fueled that rebellion. I don't recall a true "heavy metal band" that ever had more prominence/popularity on Top40 FM radio back in the day (as I say that, I wonder if there are some here scratching their head at what's "Top40 FM"?). That's what I remember (and want to remember) of Ozzy Osbourne. Never watched his reality TV...in fact, that is a topic/entertainment I avoid. RIP Ozzy...you lived life your way...that is a legacy unto itself.
