September 2, 2025Sep 2 Personally, I have no issue with just the video. If somebody wants it in writing, Googling takes seconds. Personally, if Im in a hurry, I just wind forward to the relevant points, bypassing the waffle.

I’m not doubting his expertise but he needs to explain to the layman, not fellow expert. He literally put the list on the screen. Update KB5063878: 0:13 in video SSD's with Phison controllers to drop out during high data transfers: 0:18 in video. Drives affected: 1:43 in video. All above within first couple of minutes of the video. He gave you a list of drives currently believed to be affected. Google it will do the same. He did the same in the video previously. He also gave you the update causing the issue. It's not hard, to be honest, Ray. No expertise required. Just a modicum of effort to either watch a video, read an article etc. It's an evolving issue, more drives may ne added to the list. Google your drive and find out if it has a Phison controller. Or you can roll back the update if you want to. Edited September 2, 2025Sep 2 by martin-w

September 4, 2025Sep 4 Moderator Having uninstalled this KB from my W11Pro running Samsung SSDs two days ago Windows now wants to reinstall it. I’ve deferred it for the maximum 2 weeks. I know that computer is unaffected but I used it as a test. I also uninstalled it from my sim PC which is affected. No sign yet Windows wants to reinstall it. Maybe tomorrow. Are others seeing the same? Ray (Cheshire, England). He includes links to his "merch" and links to Amazon for gear he advertises, likely getting kickbacks, and like most Youtubers begs people to subscribe for more ad revenue. I don't trust any Youtubers, but I do watch some videos because within all that morass of utter crapola, there are some helpful and informative jewels.
