What's Oasis driver?  I have a Reverb G2 but have disabled Win11 from updating so mine still works hehe.

Its the driver that makes WMR work in Win 11 environment... the savior for all G2 owners using Win11... glad to hear its working as intended OP!

"buttery smooth" with a HP Reverb G2 does not require an overpriced RTX 5090 especially since Nvidia's FrameGen let alone MultiFrameGen does not exist in VR, even my 4090 did 70 fps easily:

the much higher resolution of the Pimax Crystal Light though has a hard time to reach beyond 40 fps, which is still very acceptable:

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

Installed Oasis.   Had a hiccup getting it working, but the "Clearing Environment data, 2nd attempt" proceedure from the troubleshooting guide did it for me.

Finally was able to update my Windows 11 to the latest build and have it working with my HR Reverb G2.

Huge thanks to Matthieu Bucchianeri!!!!

What settings are people using with this oasis driver, I've got a G2, 4090 and i9 13900kf and just cant get it to run smoothly.

Using the WMR portal and xr tools I could set 300% resolution overide with DLSS4 performance, MR on and it was 99% smooth. Using the oasis driver its very jittery even at much lower resolutions, in fact raising the resolution doesn't seem to make it any worse, it just stutters a lot. Interestingly if I use the open XR toolkit just for the FPS display the FPS doesn't drop when it stuters, it stays at a solid 30 or 45 depending on how busy the scenery is.

I've tried most different settings and guides now and just cant get it to play smooth, its certainly way worse than WMR was.

The problem that I have is that I can´t set 3164x3096, only the same number like 3164x3164, and for to set 60Hz I need a workaround, to go to 90Hz and then select again 60Hz. This a week ago, maybe there is an update, I reverted to a W11 backup with WMR by the moment.

I have a g2 as well. When i tried using it with the oasis driver in vr, i had no mouse inside VR. Is that normal? I don’t want to use controllers for flight sim. I recently bought the g2 cheap to play with; never used the windows WMR so i have nothing to compare to.

Case: (Lian Li PC-011 Dynamic XL), PSU: (MEG Ai300p pcie 5 & ATX 3.0), Motherboard: (ASUS TUF Gaming x670E-PLUS WIFI 6E), CPU: (AMD Ryzen 7 7800-X3D)

Memory: (G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO RGB Series 64GB DDR5 6000), GPU: (Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 AMP Extreme Airo). CPU Cooler: (ASUS ROG Strix LC RGB 360)

Mouse is definitely working with Oasis driver, as it was previously with WMR.

I have however the following issue with MSFS2024: the in-game depth motion reprojection is not working anymore. I opened an issue in Matthieu's GitHub.

I need some help, if possible. I cannot get SteamVR to successfully open. I get the 306 error. I have tried many things (standard version vs beta version, completely uninstall SteamVR and reinstall it, old GPU driver, newest GPU driver.

This was working fine for me a couple of weeks ago. The light on my Reverb G2 is on but it gets that power from the USB connection. However, unlike with my other monitor DP cables that cause the PC to beep when unplugged, pulling the Reverb G2 cable in and out of the DP connection does not cause any beeping. I have moved the DP cables for my two monitors and headset around to make sure I did not have a bad DP port on my 4090.

I have researched the hell out of this on the internet and tried just about everything I read might help, but nothing has.

Anyone using a mixed reality headset that can give me any advice on how to try to get SteamVR to open up clean?

Thanks.

I'm not sure I understand your issue, but for sure the G2 needs it's external power supply to work. It can't be powered from an USB port.

In my case the headset light comes up only once SteamVR is started with Oasis driver.

Are you sure you followed the procedure to enable Oasis driver to your headset?

Thank you so much for your suggestion. I actually understand the unlock process and had already done it and had everything working weeks ago. But I think I may have uninstalled and reinstalled the Oasis driver and never thought about possibly having to unlock everything again.

So thank you very much for taking the time to read my post and respond to it with great information. Much appreciated.
