Navigraph questions

I’m thinking about buying a subscription for the charts and the up to date AIRAC’s because I want to start flying to places outside the US and charts for other countries are basically nonexistent when using things like ChartFox even though they do have charts for airports like EGLL the only functional ones are ground charts. Charts for SIDs and STARs are just nonsense showing multiple procedures for different runways all on one plate and not providing any altitudes or speeds. Also is there any other features that Navigraph provides that are useful? And in the past I had an issue when purchasing from Inibuilds with my card being blocked for fraud suspicions and I was only able to make my purchase from the MSFS marketplace. So will it happen with Navigraph because they’re in Europe too?

Navigraph gives you worldwide Jeppesen charts, everything that's published as far as I can tell. There's also weather, ATIS (if available online), and a moving map over IFR, VFR, or satellite charts. It's a very comprehensive package and IMO indispensable.

Are you on MSFS 2024? If yes, then charts are built in. Check the EFB.

If you’re on 2020, navigraph is totally worth it. They have all the charts you need.

I have used ForeFlight and Navigraph.

ForeFlight is used real world (by a lot of pilots from GA to commercial), but if you want more region coverage, then it can get costly … I was paying about $600/yr for the coverage I wanted.

Navigraph is considerably less costly and integrates well into MSFS.  I eventually ended my Foreflight subscription and continued with Navigraph.  Navigraph is excellent value and delivers … only oddity I found is why SimBrief is a separate app … you get everything in the Ultimate subscription (about $95/yr).

Because they bought Simbrief some years ago, and part of the deal was the promise that they would keep the free features free. And they have maintained that till today, at least. You can use Simbrief just as before without signing up for Navigraph.

There is also the mostly excellent integration with a lot of highly detailed payware aircraft (tubeliners) that makes it a no-brainer, for me.

Try it for just one month. Even if you dislike Navigraph - shock, horror 😱 - you'll have got current data for your stuff.

The charts provided with 2024 are great if you fly airliners as they will cover most places those can land but if you want comprehensive charts coverage for flying GA or even Bizjets outside the US then LIDO charts aren't going to provide that.

This is a very important point.  LIDO from Airbus only really covers charts that airliners would fly to and from.  Working Title has supplemented charts in the USA with FAA sources which is very helpful.  But if someone flies outside the USA, they will most likely NOT find charts for smaller airports.

I fully support Navigraph - their products are WELL worth the cost (maybe its 100 a year now I've forgot to look).

Navigraph also integrates in a lot of default avionics and payware such as pms and TDS GTN.

They have a toolbar which also works in VR.

LIDO from Airbus

Lufthansa, not Airbus.

The philosophy of them is that they only offer charts to airports their customers actually fly to. So whenever a new customer in the real world comes along with a new portfolio of destinations, those would be added to the LIDO Charts.

Jeppesen has a complete package, even if data is sometimes spurious and marked as such on the charts.

Personally I like the LIDO layout more, but that's just a matter of taste.

Navigraph also includes Vatsim traffic and ATC info.

Yes...that's what I meant not sure why I wrote Airbus.  Probably cause it's my early bird shift and another week without pay but I'm still at work.

I budget for £9.00 per month. It usually cost about one pound less; the exchange rates make for the uncertainty.
