Server Issue Detected

Featured Replies

Attempting to connect to the servers.

Based in the UK - Are MS servers fooked again or is it just for me?

Checked my own connection and I am getting 142 mbs download

Edit: Up and running OK now, so must have been a glitch, but I have noticed lately that flights and scenery (especially photoscenery) seem to be taking a longer time to render.

same here, in the UK

Ahh glad it's not just me.  USA east here...  getting a long load at "waiting for authentication"

And earlier my Navigraph charts app wasn't loading at all.

Maybe a large server issue?

edit:  not working at all - server issue detected

Nothing out of the ordinary noted here in South Florida, but things are so strange here in general that it might be hard to tell.

When I tried to get outlook email online a couple hours ago I got message about not being able to connect due to azure issue. Haven’t tried since then.

Same server issue here East coast USA. The same flight FS2024 crashed 3 times. Finally gave up. About 3:pm est.

Did I hear/read that you could download the scenery of an area you were flying in. Say Germany and use FS2024 to fly that area with scenery on your local HD? Or was I dreaming? If I was not is it available now? Or coming? If available now where do I get information for this. Streaming is too unpredictable. I have a fast internet connection. But, can't control MS server.

Thank You.

I think you can but it still needs connection to their servers...

I just had a beta update for SU4 and everything appears to work again.  But before that I cleared my DNS cache, and my browser cache and rebooted my modem/router.  So those actions may have had an impact

I bit the bullet a few hours ago and bought FS2024 (Steam) while keeping my FS2020 intact.

When I launch FS2024, I am being asked to sign in to my Microsoft account but I am unable to enter anything into the sign in box.

Could it be that the server issues being reported here are prohibiting me from signing in?

Probably.

Or just try a reboot?

Tried a reboot or three. Tried full screen and windowed modes. Still no joy. Stumped. Good thing I kept FS2020.

I assume you are using a Local Account to sign into Windows, right?

Open the Xbox App and sign in there with your Microsoft account.

If you are signed in there, MSFS 24 will pick up the credentials. You could also sign into that Microsoft account in some other app (Office, for example) and then stay signed in across all apps. Once you are signed in in any one place, all the Microsoft programs pick that up (unless you have customized Windows and so forth, in which case you should know how to fix it).

Kinda odd that you are signed into 2020 but 2024 isn't picking that up. Have you used any Windows tools like O&O shut up, or similar customizing tools?

Thanks Jonathan. Will give your suggestions a try tomorrow.

I had some issues last night launching FS2024. The launch splash screen came up (with the second countdown in the bottom right corner) for longer than usual and once or twice errored out and said it couldn't connect to Xbox Live. But then I tried again and it worked ok. Not had that before but maybe there were server issues.

I am signed into Windows 11 (25H2) using a Local Account.

Opened the Xbox app and signed in.

Checked another MS app (Word) and it shows I am logged in to my MS account.

I am not using any windows customizing utlities.

Still, whether I launch FS2024 from the destop shortcut, from Steam or from the Xbox app, when FS2024 asks my to sign in, I am locked out from entering anything in the box that is asking for my email addrss or phone number.

If I click in the sign in box, the words "Enter email or phone number" flash but I cannot enter anything whether I use the keyboard or a copy paste.

Thanks for your help so far, Jonathon but I am still totally puzzled by what is going on.

Yeah, this sounds like something more deep is messed up on your machine. Sorry, can't help more without actually knowing the machine and the setup and seeing what's happening.

Do you have a technical/geeky/nerdy friend, nephew, niece etc? That would be my first stop. I do this kind of thing for my family all the time, help them with tech stuff which can be quite complicated these days
