The only possible reason why the menu was there, is the restart failed  for some reason ( so you got the latest menu from the last session), and my guess the reason might have been the same as why the cleaning crew didn't stopped to begin with: likely Simconnect congestion due to too much traffic over it or possibly the Simobject limit reached (both cause the same) because in all tests we did, (like 100 cleaning services every day), the only thing that always worked, was they all go away at the end. We had all sort of funny bugs while performing the service, but it always completed.

The cleaning crew wasn't active "after" the reset.  It would not complete. I had to reset the position to clear the cleaning crew so I could board.  The one cleaner was just lopping picking up trash by door 2.  The rest of the cleaners had left.  I then reset the position and proceeded with boarding.

Ok, I must have misunderstood you, I though the menu was still stuck in the service even after reset.

In any case, we are planning to add a new feature, to end any service, like how it's currently possible only with the pushback,

No problem!  That would be brilliant.  

Hopefully this was just a glitch.  I should have added PMDG 777-300 in MSFS 2020.  Otherwise I love and always appreciate the constant additions to GSX!

I don’t even get mad anymore- I consider the entertainment an added bonus for the price I paid. No other dev house provides this. 🙂

Support are those "support professionals" that are trained to treat you with courtesy and basically not telling you anything of substance, other than "I'll ask the developer" or "use the system to open a ticket", which are company-speak for "go away, please", but in a way so nice, that you won't even realize they triaged you, because that's their job.

The always-entertaining support offered by one who's job is being a developer and not a real support person, is that you'll always get the blunt, hard and technically undeniable, facts, that sometimes might even be difficult to accept, but in the end you'll walk away having learnt something new about your system and the sim. You'll always get the honest truth here, however unpleasant it might be.

So long as we're level-setting: No other add-on I own gives me as much grief or headaches as GSX, especially when there's a major update or I have to reinstall for god-knows-what-reason. Case in point, wasting an hour troubleshooting this morning's installer fail. 

Do with that feedback what you will.

So, what really happened, is that a bug in the installer has been found, on a Saturday morning, and it was fixed like 30 minutes later. Assuming you referring to the fact the 10th part of the multi-part zip packages wasn't downloading, which was clearly an installer bug.

Ah, the bitterness involving online forums.

In any case, just tried it with a few planes and was pleasantly surprised.

Guys the live updater (Release Channel) is not showing latest version for me.  From where are you retrieving update?

Edit:  I downloaded the new installer and I am only seeing version 3.7.1.

Well, squeaky wheels...😜

Perspective: for the rest of us it seems GSX has worked fairly well considering a program like this is relatively niche in an already niche type of software/sim/hobby. Consider this... the software (2020/2024) is updated fairly often introducing bugs/issues for a great deal of other developers to keep up with said issues. I think we can give FSDT a bit of a pass, don't you think? I do. Despite the bluntness.... yeah, doesn't really concern me as I see it as clear communication. That's difficult in it's own right as discussing anything online can make it hard to differentiate between someone's emotions, intentions and attitudes. Also, there are many people here who aren't native English speakers, from different parts of the world and have grown up in different cultures. 

GSX is awesome, not that expensive, free updates, continued development and a responsive developer. This isn't the time/place to gripe. 

It's about the update. And guess what? It works! Its alright. I digress.

Tried the other installer? I have two separate files (exe) saved to my desktop that updates the installer. Not sure what's happening to you. Mine updated right away. Are you accidentally on the beta release? 

Sorry one exe is for updating the installer and the other is for the program itself. My mistake
