Maddog MD82 on sale at Simmarket 25%

Featured Replies

It's all in the title, for those who thought this would never happen, think again and hurry up it's on sale for one more day only!

That's still one of the very best airliner add-on for MSFS for simmers who - like me - love old airplanes and don't fly computers.😄

I loaded the maddog in msfs 2024 the other day after several months of in the hanger, parked it and will wait for the new update that they are working on...as it now really shows it age. But will be first in line when new version comes out...miss it!!

Honestly if you whack in the 16K panel mod on FS.to and buy the immersive audio pack, it feels like a whole new airplane. For about 6 months it was the only thing I was flying in the sim.

Eagerly awaiting the update too, but you don't have to let it languish 🙂

Also if anyone is considering this plane but worried about price - it's phenomenal, the best version of a plane that has been a labor of love for 20 years. It is almost never on sale, so 25% off honestly sounds great.

MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.

Title should read "25% off" (or reduced or similar)

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

Very tempting but the Avro, Fenix and 777 keep me pretty happy....

I love the maddog.  It's a great plane because you truly have to fly it often to remain proficient.  I can pick up an A320 without touching it for 2 years.  Same can't be said for the MD-80.

Just been flying this again the past month with the new Boris sound pack, what a great airplane!

Planes like the Airbus and 777 are so boring compared to this, they just seem like a Iphone where you just turn on the battery and then nothing more you have to do.

The maddog is something else: you really need to fly, it challenges you everytime. So if you really think you can fly a airliner try the Maddog!

I almost fly exclusively the MD83 because of the extra AUX fuel tanks which makes the range a lot bigger.

I would get it while its on sale, may never get that opportunity again. Like others said its one of the best simulated airliners in the sim but it needs a paid sound mod though just like the 777 do. Textures don't bother me as much as it does others.

To your point, https://orbxdirect.com/product/immersive-audio-maddogx-msfs (Immersive Audio is on sale on Orbx, from what I've read, it is levels above even the great FTSim audio pack)

Whatever happened to that v2 version that Leonardo was working on? It was supposedly showed off at FSExpo four months ago but nothing came out of that. I would have thought they’d post some sort of screenshots or video afterwards. Not to mention a release.
