December 21, 2025Dec 21 I prefer to dynamically move about in and out of the plane so never used views except for pilot views of course. dd Edited December 21, 2025Dec 21 by Sky_Pilot071

You’re starting to sound like a broken record here. That wasn't a message to //42 they would not likely be able to do it w/o disabling the default camera system as has been discussed. It was just a comment that MS/A would likely be able to do it. This is a bad concept except for those that want everything for nothing and willing to wait decades for it. I value my time more than that. MS/Asobo vs 10,000 or more of content providers? Yeah, not sure I want to wait until 2056 for Asobo to get around to a better camera implementation for price included. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. - Carl Sagan

December 21, 2025Dec 21 A new tutorial on how to use Chaseplane in 2024. The key thing to remember is that you assign views to controller buttons. Or if you have nothing else, then keyboard keys, which would not very handy compared to controller buttons. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
December 21, 2025Dec 21 Speaking of controllers, one choice is a programmable keypad. Here are a zillion cheap or expensive button boxes on Etsy, about 6 pages worth of choices: https://www.etsy.com/search?q=computer+button+box&ref=pagination&page=1 The one I use is something like this: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1502162573/racepro-12-function-pc-button-box? The 3 metal toggle switches stay where they are at when released, and can be used like "shift" keys (Ctrl, Alt, Shf). Thus nine buttons arranged 3x3 become thirty-six buttons all arranged 3x3. Arranging 3x3 makes them easy to use as the keypad on a keyboard. Only easier to find blind (such as in VR). 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. You have no idea if and when MS/A will implement the one feature most everyone would love to have back. Why? Very simply as said: it's bloatware for someone who only want a Fly-by view and even that is not worth the bloat for me, and I'm sure many others. And as for a 'better' system? You can't beat default if you only need up to 10 custom views--it's much simpler to set up a new plane with, period. Also as said, if you have needs for a lot more views then 10 of course it's a great option and I'm happy for those who are after that. And I also did like Craig, I did not let Chaseplane remove all the default mappings. I will probably remove them when I'll be more familiar with Chaseplane which is indeed a very smart and powerful tool. EZCA... in 2010 ! 😄 Great opening tune! For me, these devices – especially the SDXL and SD+ – together with the rather ingenious software and Elgato's ecosystem, are like the Swiss Army knives when it comes to PC controller hardware. December 21, 2025Dec 21 I know it's experimental but I'm quite disappointed, they couldn't manage or care to fix a fundamental bug, yes bug, why couldn't they separate the zoom function from internal and external cameras?. Another big one is that if you have your view configured with the mouse scroll wheel button to be pressed to look around, PMDG clickspots will not allow you for your scroll wheel button to work. December 21, 2025Dec 21 Interesting software but I have spent to much time setting my planes up to loose everything. If you save a keyboard layout for each plane your custom views are saved for each plane Takes no time at all. I have 20 views with each plane. Would have been great to be able to use both especially for things like flybys and tower views and takeoff and landings. I guess I will have to live without for now Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.
