Poor performance yesterday and today.

hmm , i ran the whole 3hours flight and guess what.  The performance came right back on the approach. I noticed that the PFD/ND was super smooth and the rest was a stutterfest. Thats why i continued

Maybe its related to the moving map in the PMDG738? i noticed i was in the main screen on approach

  • I actually momentarily got booted from the server mid flight yesterday for the first time in forever.  About 3 minutes later I got reconnected and it was a non issue for the duration of the flight.  I

  • This makes zero sense to be honest.  Why would a settings that worked fine until now will need to be lowered in order for the game to be playable ?

  • No issues here today or yesterday--had a totally stutter-free flight from EFHK > ENBR this morning in a Fenix 320.   As far as differentiating server v PC:  did you have a drop in unlocked frame ra

I had it in the Fenix...

And yes close to the approach it somewhat tends to get better.

Very weird

I have had a handful of very minor sound stutters over the past couple of weeks, but other than that, MSFS 2024 is performing admirably on my new PC.

Has been running super smooth here since I started using PG off I believe it also helped...

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

Since SU4 stutters have disappeared, even during critical phases of flight, for example, landing at an addon airport.

I'm not sure why. I think Seafront Simulations Global shipping may be the culprit i should get their update after the holidays when Orbx posts it.

I updated my Nvidia drivers not much help. Then I rebooted my computer and that seems to have fixed it super smooth.

My Nvidia app was frozen so I opened task manager and their were 5 open so I quit them all, that may have been it!

The sim behaves much better on my end today. I cant tell if its from the server side or that i changed in the Nvidia control center the power management to "prefer maximum performance"

I9-11900K, 3080 12GB, 64gb, SSD's only, W11 PRO

It's a server issue. Flying from KATL right now the whole PG city is not loading, it's all mesh, even up very close. And periodic stutters / small freezes whenever PG gets loaded in or out during my climb out.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Did a 12 hours 777 NZAA-KLAX with ATC Vatsim and performance was outstanding the nex morning. So yes its mostly related to server issues and even having downloaded all WU didnt help at all.

I'm not seeing any stutters, but I am seeing blurry ground textures from high altitudes today, which I've never seen before.   I mean quite seriously blurry, like it's waiting for the resolution or high LOD to load in.   I wondered if it was that the servers were busy and so congested.

Same.  Thought I was the only one.  SU4 beta was great but ever since the release it's been pretty bad.  My ground markings are also blurry at times which I've never had before.
