Having said that, temp has been mild here compared with UK. Averaged around 9C this Jan. 10C today. Not cold at all, just rainy.

It was never all that uncomfortable, though, due to the low humidity. Not at all like here in the Southeast. We've had unusually warm weather lately - high of 65F today and 70F tomorrow, then it drops back down to the 50s like it should be. It's not going to hit 50°f/10°c for another 10 days here, 2/19/26 to be exact and it's only going up to 50°f. One of the worst winters in 30 yrs for the Northeast. Tom MAKA = Make America Kind Again

Yeah, the mid-Atlantic where you live got hit pretty hard this year, not to mention Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana with the ice storms and cold that they're not used to. A few years ago we had a severe thunderstorm and tornadoes come through Nashville in December right before Christmas, which was pretty unusual and freakish. Crazy weather, man.
