This plane is not for me but you gotta give it to them for releasing updates constantly.

I dont think any other addon aircraft developer releasing updates so frequent as INI.

  • Lots of us A300-600 lovers out here.  +1 to the idea of the Honeywell Primus Epic cockpit planes, like what UPS has.  It would be so cool to make I would think.

I'll tell you what's fantastic about the A300's older codebase....... no WASM freezes!

The A300 Premium 2024 is absolutely rock solid for me.  With the A340, it's like rolling a dice as to whether you'll be able to finish your flight (unless you keep your flight to <2.5 hours long).

It's a shame Eddie keeps closing every thread about the WAM freezes.  We might have actually been able to provide more info by now if he didn't keep closing the threads after 5 posts.

I’ll be honest I mostly get random freezes and crashes when I fly the a350, it’s had a ton of updates so I’m not sure if it’s my end.  All I know is my other 3rd aircraft are much more stable.

Hi Steve:

I recall you gave us first the (freeware) A310 with the base MSFS, a nice (high-fidelity) default a/c that I’ve flown umpteen times and enjoyed greatly, without much issues (never heard of WASM crashes in that context).

I think the (payware) A300 came even later to MSFS. So, these old-code based Airbus airliners were indeed much more stable than the A340/A350…

But, again, I’m merely a (virtual) flyer, so, what do I know about such codes…🙂

Cheers…!

Its turned out to be a great aircraft I think, I fly the Challenger in XP12 pretty much all the time but I come back to FS24 to fly the A350...I just love the modern avionics and it being a ultra modern  aircraft.....Thank you Inibuilds...Mega job!

Does it still feel light?

No its not just your end. Delve in to any system and it is a mess. Thats why its on update 21 in 10 months, its terrible. Only have to check the a350 forum on inibuilds to see what a mess it still is. They introduced the hud 7 months ago, its still absolutely useless and plain wrong in all aspects. I really wanted to like this aircraft, a real shame fenix didn’t make their a350 version.

Consideing that I listen to real world pilots who fly this thing, I pay not too much attention to desktop pilots who just have  gut feeling that a big aircraft should feel heavy.

The A350's flybywire is by design tuned to feel responsive and light, as opposed to the A330's system that feels heavy.

I had a ton of wasm crashes in the a310, hence the reason I never bought the 300 (Even though when it worked I loved every bit of it).

I do not recall any WASM freezes with the A310 from my own experience. It flew really well. However, the only issue I had with it was when I would pause to take a screenshot; on resumption, it would go completely out-of-balance…

I need to fly (and test) it again post-SU4. I really like that Airbus.

True, but part of the story is also that most of these are polishing items or „new“ features, which in the case of PMDG or Fenix would have never been released without in the first place.
But on a bright side - these fixes and features *exist*, which is a good sign for iniBuilds because in the past they didn‘t show that commitment to the A300. Well I guess the A350 also sold much better than the A300, so I think it‘s just a question of whether ini considers the investment into bugfixing and adding new features worthwhile.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

I am not sure, both Fenix and PMDG have their downsides.

I love the Fenix, but have a look at their VNAV implantation for example, its very bad for a long long time... Now we are still waiting for an update that will fix it.

And PMDG, till today (since FSX), does not have a proper LNAV with cruise soft mode.

I want a hybrid plane with Fenix LNAV and PMDG VNAV 🤣

So I defiantly apricate a developer of somewhat complex airliner, releasing updates so promptly.

We, the virtual aviators, never stop dreaming…🙂

TBH, similar “What if” scenarios have crossed my mind too in many instances.
