Do let us know what you think about the Jaguar I’d be interested in your thoughts.

I grew up with a large poster of a jaguar on my bedroom wall.

  • I prefer Justflight’s Bae Hawk T1/A. It’s a two-seat trainer jet, has quite some system modeled and flies wonderfully.

I'm really enjoying the Aero Dynamics T-38 Talon. Comes with both A (steam gauge) and C (glass) versions.

Just to provide a little something different - I really love the OV-10 Bronco by Azur Poly. The cockpit is absolutely stunning.

I'd go Heatblur F-14 as the non-weapons fidelity is incredible.  I have it in DCS as well but also in MSFS.  Different sims and world give it a whole difference experience when flying the Tomcat in such a huge MSFS world.

I have to agree with the Jag. Lot of effort put into this one and it shows. Been playing around with replays a bit and the Jag has spot on sound in the flybys.

Me too haha ! It wasn’t the 4 ship was it ?

Alright, sounds like I need the Jaguar.

The Bronco got lost in the back of my hangar, is it working in msfs2024?

Thank you for asking.

As a result, I too got the Jaguar. Very happy so far after just one flight.

My research also made me realize that there was now a 2024 Native C-160 Transall, which is of course very different, but which I always enjoy flying.

Lost my mum 3 years ago today so feeling a bit down have decided to treat myself to some heavy metal so which one ?

Typhoon ( which one ? )

Tornado

Jaguar

Vulcan

Whadda you think ?

Condolences on the loss of your mum - sometimes, the pain never really subsides.

Going by your list, I think I would have gone for the Just Flight Vulcan. Keep it in mind for the future, because it really is one of the most interesting aircraft in MSFS20 and 24. I absolutely love it.

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

Vulcan will be my next purchase. I have very fond memories of playing cat and mouse with my mate and the MP’s at RAF Scampton in the late 70’s early 80’s I would have been 11 or 12.

We would sneak into the field and crawl on our bellies right up to the last landing light.

I remember them just barely in and out of the clouds sometimes 4 at a time with very little power on making that whine.

They would then come over our heads at about 30 feet.

🙂

and thanks 🙂

First add on plane I picked up. That howl is something else!

So sorry for your loss! 😞

Vulcan.

The only aircraft that you can fly like an airliner as well as very low level - and both flight profiles are realistic. Not to mention low level aerobatics that hardly forgive mistakes.
Very, very challenging to fly, and modelled incredibly well. By far the best "realistic feeling" ground handling of any aircraft I've ever flown in FS2020/2024.

And she's got a TFR.....

The MSFS version isn’t great at all, esp in the FM and other subtleties of the aircraft.
it LOOKS fantastic. Just doesn’t operate or fly like it should.
and the nav restrictions on a 1970’s naval jet make it unsatisfying to tour in unless youre strictly going point to point.

TBH, it’s so different that it screws up my Tomcat piloting in DCS, so I’ve stopped flying it.
I guess if they ever update it, I’ll take another look, but for now, there are far, far better options for mil jets in MSFS.

Andddd .. Picked up the Vulcan today in the JF Sale had a few quid in points so a steal at £16 !

Looking forward to training around the Mach Loop and have Scampton primed for some missions sightseeing around Moscow !

Do you have the Scampton scenery?  By IM scenery I believe, quite good for its low price.

What did you think of the Jaguar? I bought it over the weekend, only had a very quick run in it  but didn’t immediately gel with it. I parked it up and got the Hawk out instead!

I put the wing tanks on and went low level from Valley to Fort William and back via the Lake District , quite challenging in yesterday’s heavy rain in Scotland
