Kung Fu Robot.

Uh-huh.  That's how it starts.  The robots are learning to fight the humans.

My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.

This is just frightening!  Time to head for the Yukon and build a log cabin.  It will probably take "Skynet" a while to make it that far north.

BTW Martin, I didn't catch the robots name?

Truly scary stuff - amazing, but scary.  I'm immediately thinking 1)how many jobs these and AI are going to replace, and 2)wait until these robots have AI "brains".

Simulator: P3Dv6.1

System Specs: Intel i7 13700K CPU, MSI Mag Z790 Tomahawk Motherboard, 32GB DDR5 6000MHz RAM, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Video Card, 3x 1TB Samsung 980 Pro M.2 2280 SSDs, Windows 11 Home OS

I just listened to a podcast where Elon Musk was talking about building robots and the impact of AI. He was basically saying any work related to computers will be gone and replaced by AI (and let's not forget self driving cars and so on). I am towards the end of my career, but I do worry about the kind of future the younger generations will be faced with. I was in IT before being an airline pilot and worked on cloud/automation (Infra/Software as a service, etc.), it made a lot of jobs obsolete, but created other jobs. I dont know if this will be the case with AI. Elon was basically saying that in a perfect world, nobody would have to work and that there would be some sort of unversal income, I just dont see this happening. We already saw Airbus push for single pilot operations, granted it is for extended minimum crew operations (only one pilot in the flightdeck ion cruise, and the other "resting", but this is how it starts, more jobs to be lost. We are living in a very uncertain world nowadays....

Hymie's latest music CD flop is "Bassoon on Fire". AI has a way to go in artistic creativity.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

Perhaps Hymie thought "on fire" indicated that the amazing bassoon soloist should be in a state of incineration instead of just in a state of excitement.

I watched this the other day. Astonishingly rapid progress. The Chinese seem way ahead.

Now project forward 10 - 20 years to a time when the software is akin to true AGI. perhaps sooner.

Star Trek scenario. I would think there would have to be UBI. Humans are good at adapting, though, so Im not as concerned about this scenario as some.
