So the E175 / 195 had been updates before, I guess?

Yep - saw that part no problem. Just curious why jcomm seems to have v2 already...?

All the E-jets and ERJs are now 2.0.  I still have the older XP11 updated ERJs but getting ready to delete them.

Because he has the E195 which is part of the X-Crafts E-Jets family (E170, E175, E190, E195, and Lineage 1000). The v2.0 upgrade for those jets came out quite some time ago.

They are not the same as the ERJ family that was just released yesterday. Those are comprised of the ERJ 135, ERJ 140, ERJ 145, ERJ 145XR, and the Legacy 650.

Well I appreciate (but not quite understand) XCrafts dedication to upgrading the ERJ line of Embraers for XP12 as the real aeroplane itself is now over twenty years old and long gone out of production replaced by the E Jets Line. A curious endeavour by XCrafts. I guess they have cornered the Embraer line - interesting to see where they go next!

I had the old version and the discount was applied automatically at the Org Store - so the new version only cost me an additional $35. Happy with that and same applies to other XP11 stuff languishing around the sim world - happy to pay for an upgrade.

I also have the E170 but not really a fan of the bigger E Jets simply because they just never got a toe hold in Oz. Virgin had a few but have ditched everything now but Boeings. Few regional or FIFO operators but that is all. So the E170 does me.

Ah - yep, i was confused by the confusion! 🤣

Sounds like @jcomm has the E-Jets whereas I have the ERJ.

Thanks for clearing me up 🙂

I used to fly out of KLAX on both the ERJs and later on, the E-Jets. Both were nice enough from a pax perspective, and walking outside on the ramp to en-plane was fun for me 🙂

I just kinda like the ERJs with the tail mounted engines, etc. Nostalgically reminds me of DC-9/MD-80/727.

If I could pick the next one, it'd be the C-390 Millenium all day. 😎 But...nobody asked me, and I sincerely doubt it'll ever come (maybe someday to MSFS where mil cargo seems to be somewhat popular).

Maybe they'd take a stab at the Praetor biz jet like the one pending for MSFS?

Anyhow, the ERJ is just "something different" from the usual twin-jet-on-wing planform, which is what makes me interested.

I do note that 40% discount expires in about 2 weeks, so I've got a bit of time to think on it (I'd rather have the biz jet version, but would have to wait for the next Black Friday sale, probably).

This is me. I’ve actually been looking hard at the Deltawings CRJ models but some of the vids I’ve watched on the CRJ700 and 900 have not been too flattering. On Flight Aware I see many more CRJs then ERJs or Ejets on the Regionals flying the routes I want to sim. I have to admit though my sales resistance is weak looking at these X-Craft releases but I rather have a CRJ.
Oh dilemma.” Multitudes multitudes in the valley of decision.” 🤔

Once upon a time did the same comparison CRJ or ERJ - ERJ won out for me now with Version 2 and improved for XP12.4 a really nice model, lovely detail, great texture quality and so far pretty good system fidelity. Need them to update the manual for it now so we can really see what is what. 2 short flights - no issues at all.

As aeroplane go bit of a runway hog (not a short strip beasty at all) initial climb not bad but drops off with altitude, cruise not that fast and can be a bit slipper on descent. Going to spend some time in this one now! Got some RW numbers for fuel, power and speeds from a current ERJ driver this morning - seems fairly close but different atmospherics make the difference (ISA or ISA +).

A lot depends on how you pick your flights.  I use the ASN listing to "assign" my random flights and aircraft.  Since the listing is international, many smaller airlines use E-jets and CRjs/ERjs for short hops and many are still in service.  The older ones are the ones that create the most "incidents" so there is no lack of regional jet activity and hence failures/incidents.

I find it a challenge to have dozens of different aircraft in my virtual hangar and master the demands of each plane.  I also try to support any and all developers for X-Plane, and while there are some aircraft I don't fly often, I try to rotate through all of them from time to time.  X-Crafts is doing good work, relying on actual pilots for details, and paying attention to users.  Gotta support that!

The ERJs are popular aircraft (1,240 built) with a wide variety of current and former operators on all continents, so next to personal interest from Marko (admitted to in one of his interviews), relatively differences between models, little changes over their production life, highly automated systems, availability of FCOMs/AFMs and a lot of input from real flight crew makes development and marketing basically a no-brainer.

My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days

I purchased the upgraded ERJ fleet. I had the original ERJs. The price, although a bit high, was still reasonable if your upgrading. I have to say that as far as a developers go X Crafts is one of the best. Marco is a great asset to the Xp community. I think it's important to support developers that keep working hard to make their products better.
