Ok sweet.  I just picked up their EYW and it's pretty decent!

Same here. Same thoughts.

I this confirmed?  I thought it was cancelled.

I think you were thinking of when VerticalSim started then cancelled this project.

KEYW - MK Studios (Released)

Oh, wow.  Hadn't seen this, so thanks!

MK Studios is not a developer I'm familiar with as they do airports larger than I normally buy, but Key West is in the upper end of my wheelhouse and I've never been that thrilled with the Orbx in-house version I have as it seems kinda sterile (plus it's out of date).  Looked at a couple of vids and product shots and MK Studios' version looks amazing!  Bit pricey, but still...

MK Studios are now one of the top developers of airport addons. They seem to get better and better with every release.

That is a lot of money for something that almost looks like a freeware airport.

Count me out of this one.

You are missing out on a great airport. He did a great job on this. I've been flying in and out of it most of the day and really enjoying it

Burning Blue design are about to release Gamston  EGNE, in the UK.

This is great news for me as I flew out of there a few times 30 odd years ago, I had an unpaid job positioning Cessna 152s down to Halfpenny green for maintenance.

I’ve recently been flying microlights out of Emerald scenery’s Forwood Farm about 4 miles to the North East of Gamston and have to climb to 2000ft to get over Gamston’s ATZ . I’ve been looking down at the default airport as I pass overhead and thinking to myself it desperately needs payware attention.

I also visit the Aron Cafe there on my motorbike, and in  the YouTube preview I saw it looks identical.

I note that the runway at EGNE has been reduced in length to 1200 metres, which would be very tight for my PMDG 737-600. Is there any additional asphalt at both ends, or has it all been grabbed for some other use?

I think they’ve painted roadways at the side of the runway as the airfield is owned by thatcham now and they do testing there.

As far as I can tell there’s still tarmac there at the end of the runways, they’ve not dug it up, it used to be a massive runway landing a light aircraft there.
