Will DLSS5 Take XP12 to Visual Realism Never Before Possible

I'm not allowed to talk about the output, but we're moving away from the 20-year old DSF system. Which in short, is more performance-intensive and less flexible than what modern mapping standards offer today. We're going from a system that used to be dominantly pre-computed and prefers vector data.... to one that prefers raster data and can be a bit more dynamic at runtime.

Will this new scenery system be compatible with all the airports made and that are available in the Scenery Gateway?

But they are fake frames?  Sort like what happens when you drink too much 😉 … why chase FPS?  But more importantly why allow nVidia/AMD off the hook for lack of actual core rendering performance innov

does x-plane use any version of DLSS at all? DLSS from Nvidia is not implemented at all. Why DLSS isn’t available DLSS requires motion vectors from the game’s rendering eng

I think you can answer the latest part yourself when you consider how much of a waste throwing away the entire Gateway data would be.

hahaha! I know what you mean but it was sort of a colloquial question, we know that the airports are being including in the XP updates regularly but Scenery Gateway is the original source.

I’d probably need more details to make sense of this …  Ray Tracing is vector based so somewhat puzzled by your statement.  No need to clarify if you’re under NDA … I’m sure it’ll be a good step forward and looking forward to whatever we get.

The only problem with this explanation is that it's sort of the reverse when it comes to simulators or games. GPUs like raster data. Its nice a simple data. 🙂
