Loved this question 🙂 which is a follow-up to a previous question of why Vector is only targeting MSFS 2024:  https://youtu.be/vvZrPcYl5jc?t=836

Q: "I believe many don't understand how much innovation MSFS 2024 brought to the table. I still hear people who naively believe this could have been an expansion or a DLC"
A: She agreed and goes on to say how it's a completely different flight engine and CFD flight model (given 2024's more detailed aircraft geometry definition for the CFD computations to run over), system depth, visual fidelity and its modular development system, etc ("it's a new simulator and massive jump from 2020 to 2024")

Thankfully looks like they're making full use of 2024's FDE and CFD capabilities along of course with all the other improvements, rather than being hampered by lowest common denominator type functionality in order to serve both 2020 and 2024.

I'm looking forward to the result.

I was already in on a buy, but I’m in again … just waiting for release.

Interview really sold me. Great job out of that team!

I thought it was a great interview.  It would be a truly outstanding achievement if they can deliver everything they say they can this year.  I am naturally skeptical they will be able to deliver it that fast but if it has already been in the works for a while now it might be possible.  We will just have to see what they deliver and the ball is in their court so lets see what they bring to the table before jumping to conclusions.

One thing I can't help but wonder if at least some of the team that worked for Qualitywings on the 787 are now working on this plane for Vector Studios?  We may never know the answer to that question but I am thinking probably!

Also I feel at this point we need some actual credibility from Ellie.  If you have worked on many planes for previous sims and for FS2020 what planes are they?  I have been into flight simulation since 1984 and we have many famous names when it comes to development and I don't recall any of them having the first name Ellie.  Granted my memory is not as good as it used to be but if we actually know some projects they worked on we will know what kind of credibility Vector Studios has.

I truly believe our hobby is evolving and in many ways its out with the old and in with the new.  We witnessed this with Fenix which nobody knew anything about yet they have this outstanding product with award winning support.  So it's definitely possible here with Vector and the 787.  Of coarse for every Fenix and Vector Studios projects you are bound to get some real bad stuff as well.
