Robots win marathons.

A machine wins a marathon... yep, at some point we will all be replaced by the machines.

My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.

Not surprising.  I assume The Flying Scotsman, a kind of robot that replaced the horse and carriage, is still carrying passengers between London and Edinburgh a lot faster.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

Given we are already a bit like cyborgs, with implants and you could say even by wearing glasses and having dental implants... will we become more extreme cyborgs or will that phase be leapfrogged straight to full on machine intelligence?

Implants maybe.  But wearing glasses?  When outside I walk with a cane.  But Abraham and Moses are depicted with their staffs and I can even imagine a cripple caveman using a tree branch to help him walk.  I would call that cyborgism.

To add some context, last year, the first time Beijing marathon allow man and robots on the same course, only 6 out of 20 robots have completed half marathon, and the best result for robot was 2h40m. Most robots DNF because of joints overheat.

And this year, 45% of over 100 robots finished, 18 finished team, including all top 3 robot are self-navigate, though city course.

What's this they put in the backpack? I hope not a controlled substance. 🤔

They’re adding a secret performance enhancing substance known as Formula WD-40.

I've heard of that, potent stuff. Some slippery customers deal in that stuff.

Looks like the robot really enjoys the pit stop. I can almost hear him moan: "Oh my joints, cool my joints!"
