lol..Well I guess I have to wait until the creator re-opens it to download the app. He stopped it from anyone downloading at the moment.☹️

You could take a look at this app. It does the same thing.

I have disabled all missions and challenges, the sim now is lighter the before regarding RAM and VRAM.

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

I have every last thing actually downloaded and installed and have never had the ILS problem. I just thought I’d throw that out there as it seems most people like to stream.

That is interesting. I would gladly disable all of that stuff if I thought that it would help reduce VRAM usage.

After the last SU updates my Content.xml moved from the LocalCache folder to the LocalCache/UserName folder, user name being your Xbox name. In there is my Content.XML that is currently being used. The one in the old location hasn't been touched in months but the new one is active. Just aded a scenery and checked after boot and its in the current content.xml.

Interesting. Took some brown-belt level Google-Fu to find where they moved Content.xml in the Steam version, which for anyone interested is:

C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\[Your Xbox Name]\

That one is apparently the one being used, at least for activation/deactivation (but not for package order any more).

I note with interest that all the packages from FS2020 are listed in there as well as the FS24 stuff. The packages I've disabled in FS2024 do have the active="UserDisabled" attribute set. But many of the FS20 entries show active="Activated", which now has me wondering what's getting loaded from the other sim, and whether it has any bearing on this issue.

Let us know what you find out. I was wondering myself if we needed all the MSFS2020 packages activated. Does 2024 need 2020 to packages to operate?
