23 hours ago23 hr Have so far watched the Mexico game, the Canadian game - which was a complete bore fest - and I watched USA v Paraguay this morning on the iplayer and that was a fantastic match.Despite the nations attention being diverted by a game of Netball in New York earlier in the week I felt both the USA team and their fans in the stadium really rose to the occasion and put in a great performance. How far can the USA team go in the World Cup? All the way until they face either France, Spain or Argentina. Exactly the same can be said for England imo.

EA laughed in their face and walked away........but not quite. EA simply made agreements with national football federations, bypassing FIFA and carried on making a slightly rebranded video game. Their sales have hardly been dented whereas FIFA are down $150m a year.It takes an awful lot of cash to keep the FIFA gravy train on the rails so this World Cup is a way to make up for lost revenue; hence the outrageous match ticket prices being charged...amongst other things...
21 hours ago21 hr Moderator England should make the quarterfinals minimum. If all goes according to plan they’ll meet Mexico in the last 16 then possibly Brazil in quarters.Get past Brazil and anything goes. Brazil are not the Brazil of 1970. Who could forget Banks’ save from Pele and the final beating Italy in the best ever final.USA will do well to make the last 16. Ray (Cheshire, England).
