  • Redesign the base package downloader with a clearer package list, corrected download size totals, and direct base package folder selection.

  • Improve base package download reliability by downloading selected packages sequentially, reusing aria2c safely, recovering from incompatible resume data, and fixing cancellation and retry issues.

  • Correctly detect and support downgrading to an older base package version.

  • Restore the previous base package selection after disabling the X-Plane 12 original base package.

I decided to use the "X-Plane 12 original base package" because I was "tired" of getting updates to the various base packages quite often, but I am tempted to try the PME-native base Packages, because they're optimized in terms of more up to date OSM data, I guess...

I know some of you don't like the base idea behind it, but I really enjoy what PME does for X-Plane 12 !

Dont even know what it is

I got a lot OOVM CTD with MEP recently and I suspect it's something to do with it's basepack, let me see if it's fixed.

For many airport in southwest mountainous area of China, their basepack are much better to get a nice sloped runway on the mountain side rather than totally unusable jagging runway or a big area with unnaturally flat square(thus very jagging boundary)
