For those who own it, is it a “must have”?

I’m considering getting it, but already own the Adobo Longitude.

I’m not easily won over by high end autopilots and AM completely enamored with ancient 1970s technology and visible clamshell thrust reversers.

And I love very nice “Carenado” type textures, too.

I really should spend more time with my existing fleet, and maybe just bomb around in the “Wayne Newton” private livery F28 instead - but 3 engined jets ARE cool.

Why don't you own it already then? Hehe. It does have a few pieces of early style glass though. Great addon, decent sounds, flight model. It does have a UNS (I guess it's technically the GNS-XLS) but you don't have to use it you can just fly with green needles.

They are prompt with updates too

It's got some great retro and modern liveries available as well.

There was one that frequently visited my local KSBM and when she would depart I could usually tell by how LOUD it was overhead - not quite the earthquake of DC-9s or 727s, but close enough to be enjoyable.

This is my main go-to flyer right now. It has been between this and the Sovereign but I tend to sway toward the 50 every time I decide to do a flight. Love this vintage aircraft and a nice change from the Garmin glass. FMC is a bit quirky but once you get used to it it's pretty intuitive. Flight model was updated and feels really nice. I would not hesitate to recommend it if someone is looking for something a bit older and different!

And yes, Ryan has done some nice paints!

I have enough of airplanes flown by computers 😝 they're so boring, this one has a nice oldish flavor and all ingredients of a Dassault airplane: powerful, reactive, fast, loud, confortable for the passengers, something of a "civil fighter".

Marcel Dassault used to say that "if an airplane is nice, it will fly nicely": their Falcon 50 certainly fits that criteria very well and Contrail did a good job at rendering it, especially for a first release.

If, like me, you are tired watching TV screens in your cockpits with all instruments squeezed in one package, this is an aircraft for you. It is so versatile that I can't get out of it. Today I landed it at OPGT (Gilgit), an airport I am familiar with IRL, and a guaranteed good shot of adrenaline.

Thanks guys - I bought and flew the two toned green striped livery on a quick circuit around Milwaukee (had to change my real weather to be less smoky!).

I love it so far - it handled perfectly and (important to me) there were no stutters, lags when panning around, etc. Smooth as glass.

My spouse appeared on final (she always does - “oh, you’re landing?” - but despite that distraction it was a silky touchdown and the cute #2 reverser helped me stop.

Now to actually learn the systems and download more repaints!

The only sobering thought is she first flew the year after I was born - I feel like if I had a livery, it would scream the 1970s. 😂

I LOVE everything about this plane. The FMC in quirky (Completely realistic though I am sure) and not too difficult to program the initial flight plan just struggling how to edit midflight / change arrivals. I guess back to YouTube for soem help :-)

Did ya'll have to adjust pitch sensitivity in the controls setup?

I'm asking because I find the default pitch axis very sensitive. Is this how the actual aircraft is?

I find it very difficult to hand fly smoothly.

I was manually flying a pattern around KPAE just now and had no problems trimming it - it trimmed very nicely similar to the PMDG 738 or A2A Comanche (but I’m only using a Thrustmaster joystick’s buttons to trim - one up and one down).

I have to chime in on this as well.. I can sit and fly a 2 hour flight uninterrupted and then.... WITHOUT fail....my wife will come in and start a conversation on short final. I initially got frustrated but now, It happens so often, all I can do is laugh!!

Adding in here that I now can get my Simbrief plan into this and after 2 more flights love it even more.

Also - to buy it I used a (small) discount code, which seem to be available on various YouTube videos (or AI) to find.

An excellent purchase and just installed all Ryan's (and Tim's) liveries.

It's brilliant. Now my go to fav biz jet.

Another good thing is it is the only biz jet with full JetCard integration. Great if you use JetCard.

It's great and even more so combined with JetCard. You get both a purpose, story and a great aircraft to fly. I wished there was some sort of aircraft persistance such as oil consumption, tire and break wear, but otherwise, it's a wonderful and very immersive aircraft.
