And FSXE will help to disable your bloom effect in FSX which take about 45% of your performance, the sun will still look as with bloom effect on.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-dev-sigbanner.jpg

  11. HI Matt, The texture resolution slider don't control the size of the BMP terrain to render in FX? Another things, the slider Level of radius can help for frame rate, keep this to left and compare with right or middle. ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  12. HI,I am happy with it and as all ways, I will change my system for each new version of FS!. FS2004 wouldn't run with high setting and 3rd party addons on the same machine that I used for FS2002. Considering the new capability, new feature for creation and addons in each new version, FSX will bring a new level of addons nevers seen before.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  13. HI, ">FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.33 (in fsx.cfg, in the MAIN>section). I tried this and imagined some improvement, but it>probably was just imagination. Correct, this requires software fix and will only work in the released version.]"Also, it appears the "TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=400" tweak was not working due to a FSX bug as discussed in tdragger/Mikes blogThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  14. Hi, Can you give us more details? fs2004 totaly fails to load at the begenning? or stopped at a progress % bar ?ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg

  17. HI,For not confusing clouds formation and cloud texture, you will always have these clouds formation if there is broken clouds 5/8, 6/8, 7/8 in the metar, these are builded from microsoft, not related to clouds texture. The ASG control the clouds texture only not the clouds formation. The things you can change in the ASG is the texture under the 3d clouds texture, these control the "visual" of the clouds , texture are related to color of the bottom and amount of the puff and the stratuscumulus shape control the edge of the clouds only. The sky color can change the color of the clouds as well, if you are using polluted, you can have have more darker clouds, if you are using clear sky, the clouds will be more whiter etc. ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  18. Hi, Try to change the sky set to polluted or smooth horizon sky set in asg.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  19. Hi, Try to use smooth horizon sky set in asg, this can improve the horizon.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  20. HI Jan, the strip line is from the high above cirrus, not related to clouds resolution size, since the resolution clouds size are only related to 3d clouds texture not cirrus. Try to change cirrus set, but I really doubt it is a texture problem. I may related to a corruped cirrus files during the ASV6 install.-Try to repair ASV6If still problem:It may caused by a driver video cards setting or something like that's, Please try to reinstall the video cards driver first.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  21. HI Mervyn,"I note that none of the options for either overcast or broken cirrus show very much cloud as a percentage of the sky, in fact there doesn't seem to be much difference from the options for few or scattered cirrusThe percentage of cirrus is made from Fs9, Fs9 will show cirrus in a "box patch" in the sky most of the time, unless there is 2 or 3 layer togheter with different formation, like few, scattered and broken togheter they will covers more the sky, others than that's you will see cirrus "box patch" in the sky, limitation of Fs9.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  22. HI Fred,ASV6 has to be purchased, you can have both installed as well since they are seperate software.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  23. Hi,No need to uninstall.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  24. Hi All,Let me explain you, stratus overcast model in Fs2004 lower than a certains height will make these grid line, because of a quick job made in their clouds formation from Microsoft, see here below default weather engine and default clouds. You can cleary see problem in overcast stratus clouds in Microsoft like the cumulus overcast clouds in Microsoft. Now if there is overcast stratus clouds are in the metar, ASV6 will use these, we are aware of this problem original from Microsoft and we will continue to see what's we can do like we improve little bit the overcast clouds for cumulus. I will send a reports to Damian and see try to avoid these clouds formation when these are trigered.Leave the max stratus thickness and separation like default from the ASV6 option. You can prevent this for a temp fix in fs2004 settingdisplayweather under clouds details, set the slider clouds coverage density to high (not maximum) http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/150597.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/150598.jpgThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  25. HI, These are stratus clouds formation are rendered from Microsoft engine, 3d clouds builded from MS, not texture, these will show in default fs weather as well. In Active sky there is favor cumulus over stratus or you can change the stratus separation altitude can help to prevent these stratus clouds formation.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
