  1. Hi, The problem are not related to texture or anything like that's, these are stratus clouds rendered from Microsoft, no matter which texture you are using or program, if these stratus formation are trigered, you will see this, in ASV6 there is option use favor cumulus overs stratus, this will set cumulus overs stratus clouds and prevent this rendering.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  2. Hi, You need to download .Net 1.1 or higher, ASG won't works without it, SP2 don't came with .NetThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  3. Hi, It's related to the Fs2004 3d clouds model, these are from fs2004, not related to ASV6, texture are not 3d clouds model.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  4. Hi Glenn,Well it's depend on your system and result, some have better performance with 32 bits then DXT and some have better 256x256 , then 128x128 and 64x64.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  5. HI, "6,000 gorgeously drawn objects per square kilometer."In fs9 it was only 600 objects per square kilometer ;-)ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg

  8. 10. Hi, Every new update include always old update as well, with the last update you don't need anything else to download.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  11. HI Brad,These clouds are not used in Fs2004 weather engine, they appears only with 3rd party scenery (not related to fs2004 weather engineASV6), they are thermal scenery or something like that's. Please check some scenery addons you have installed.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  12. HI Steve,ActiveSky Graphics Requires Microsoft .NET Framework v1.1 (or later) Most XP users have this already via Windows Update.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  13. HI Jason,Fs real weather default use 1 layer of Cumulus for overcast, but there is hole even the largesthighest alpha channeltransparency, and with some others cumulus clouds type it's worst, they look like broken clouds. ASV use more overcast layers stratuscumulus if I remember to have more solid overcast. This is the area that's the texture are important to get the most thickeralpha channel to prevent more holetransparent solid layers looking. Please note that's the texture are not clouds, but control the puff, color and "thickness" of the clouds visual, the clouds shape renderingformation height have nothing to do with Texture.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  14. HI Jason,"For example there is a stratus texture that's "near transparent which can make some very sublte clouds and also looks good as cirrostratuss"."Yes this is what's I want to said about, there is alpha channel that's are more transparent and others "near transparent to others, and cumulus texture clouds that's are less thick and smaller to others, you may have more holes and less dense effect with these if not disabled. To have a constant result solid overcast the most as possible, you have to disable them in the FE ramdom list to always get the most as possible solid layers with less hole and less "transparency" clouds.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  15. Hi neil,It's depend on clouds texture also, FE has cumulusstratus texture that's are transparent, you will never get solid overcast cloud with these set if you use them or get them by random.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  16. Hi Emile,You can notice this effect more, when you are using top down view and use the X rate speed faster, you will see the rotatingspinning clouds face to the aircraft.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  17. HI Emile,Clouds in Msfs are 3d sprite that's rotate always to the face of the aircraft.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  18. HI Mike,If possible a selectable 2X, 4x etc. Anti-aliasing in FSX graphics option will be the best, not only enabledisable check box, but a selectable Anti-aliasing, even better with a selectable anisotropic filtering as well, I have seen this on others games, instant to select this via the video cards driver setting, all controled in the game graphics option. ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  19. Hi Eytan,It's texture that's will always appears on ASV6 defined condition editable text files with the metar.Your are not obligated to use this feature, you can select your prefered theme, clouds setup, to get always your favorite clouds texture visual. One thing to not confuse, texture are the not the cumulus, stratus clouds formation, but only the color and the puff of the clouds, all cumulusstratus type shapeheight familly will only show with the metar.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  20. Hi, It's not clouds texture, it's related to the stratus clouds type in fs and cumulus type, these will happend on default as well, the hole of the stratus are covered by the cumulus layer below the stratus layers, you can adjust the separation of the stratus in the asv option.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  21. HI monsoon,Try 32 bit 256x256, on some system DXT have worst performance compare to 32 bits.Could your check your AGP aperture in your bios? is is set to what's? 128MB or 256MB can be better depend on the system overall capabilty.Improving Overall Performance1) I recommend to set the clouds draw distant to the lowest and sight distant at the lowest, after testing, increase them little bit and test again the result in Fs2004.2)When there is many layers at the same time, the clouds density slider can help for performance.-ATI Video Cards do not antialise the Clouds in Fs2004 even if AA is enabled, better performance.-NVDA Video Cards for some X reason Antialase the Clouds in Fs2004 if AA is enabled, you will have lower performance.Video Cards SettingDepend on many system and configuration, you can start with the basic Setting and increase them after slowly and see your performance.-AA and AF at 2-Image setting to performance-Turn off Vsync In Fs2004 Display Setting-Antialasing is disabled -Lock your Target Frame Rate Slider at 25 or higher.-Set Mips slider default (4) -FS display filtering, test with Bilinear or Trilinear.-Test Fs2004 in Windows mode and Full Screen mode.Improving game performance for fs2004 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...069&Product=gmsSound Related Issue for fs2004http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...394&Product=gmsMicrosoft Optimizing Visuals and Performancehttp://www.microsoft.com/games/flightsimul...ize_visuals.aspThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  22. Hi Speedbyrd,FS Skyworld are all in ASG graphics with tons of option, near 400 sky type and 1 million of clouds texture possible etc. Fs sky world was limited to near 25 sky color and 25 clouds texture.Fs sky world will works if you don't enable auto submit in the option, but like I said before, ASG contains everything.Ps: Don't confuse clouds formation and clouds texture, the shape and height are related to the Metar, texture show the color and puff. This is the one of the most thing user's confuse texture and metar clouds shape, texture will never show all the Cumulus familly formation, all stratus familly type or anything like that's.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
  23. HI Ron, In Option button, Above the server selection, there is performance Throttling area. In my case, disable both, the download is ultra fast.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg

  25. Hi, It may related to the video cards driver, Maybe a re-install of driver will solve this. Normaly transform and lighting should be enabled, and you will have more fps as well enabled.Check the fs2004 hardware rendering light slider, be sure it is a full right.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg
