  1. If you had been set the challenge - your wife would have been very very sad. She is fortunate she held back.
  2. In the hangar with a swarm of engineers poring over it. As yet estimated time for re-delivery :(
  3. Hello Some time ago I dabbled with Linda then decided it was a bit beyond me and decided to stop dabbling and get on with flying. Since that time I have a splash message that shows at the start of each session that I would like to get rid of. The message is LUA Display - VRi MCP Combo is ENABLED but not found on Port COM0 How do I get rid of this message? It doesn't detract from the playability just annoys. Thanks

    777 crashes FSX ?

Appreciate your comments. However, I am aware of and do experience delays (not long) before the 'Fly Now' button becomes operational but in this case there are no delays of any note the system simply displays a fatal error message, automatically shuts FSX down and restarts it. there is no disk thrashing or OOM errors and in fact when I follow FSX load on 'Task Manager' it rarely reaches 1.3gb before going pear shaped so it is not a memory error. it should be noted that the NGX will load around 1.7gb before completing the load. I have removed additional liveries with no effect. What is really interesting as I said before is that without the T7 loaded the NGX is flawless. With it loaded the NGX, A320 and other addon aircraft are useless due to fatal errors on loading. I will do some more tests including your other suggestions but frankly am running out of ideas. One thing I will not do is demolish my FSX base and start from scratch. the process was fine without the T7 so it must be something in it that is causing me grief. This is very frustrating as I have the NGX and J41 for FSX and have a history with PMDG during the reign of FS9 and this is the first time I have encountered a show stopper. I am confident they will be able to help.

    777 crashes FSX ?

It was suggested to me that it is a SimConnect issue related to menu access (or something like that) but I questioned it further and it has been referred back for further evaluation. I will install again shortly and set my time to daylight and see what happens then. It is interesting that when I did my taxi, take off, approach and land accessing but replay options and other menus for views it worked OK. As I said earlier, the NGX works flawlessly after the T7 is uninstalled but doesn't with it installed. The T7 has been stored in a hangar until engineers can determine and fix the problem. Must say I'm surprised that others have not encountered this problem but I don't accept it is my system as I said it worked flawlessly before and continues to do so without the T7. over to you PMDG.

Uninstall the T7 and see if you can operate the NGX.

    777 crashes FSX ?

Ticket lodged as suggested. I too have not had to do this in the past as usually I wait for a few weeks before buying a new product to enable any bugs to be ironed out. On this occasion the wait got the better of me.

    777 crashes FSX ?

I'm in the same boat. Loaded the T7 and ran FSX. System came up with engines running. Taxied from stand to Rwy15 at YBCS and took off. Did a left hand circuit and landed on Rwy15. Shutdown FSX and loaded two liveries - Emirates and Cathay Pacific in the passenger model. When I came to load again about 4 hours later it was dark so I went about changing the time in FSX and it crashed on completing the load. Reloaded and left the time as default and FSX loaded. Went into the menu to change the time and FSX crashed. Reloaded and this time selected the Emirate livery. FSX crashed on loading. Reloaded and went change to the NGX. FSX crashed on loading. Uninstalled the T7 and reloaded FSX using the NGX. FSX loaded. Reinstalled the T7 and reloaded FSX using the T7 default livery. FSX loaded. Went through the changes described above once more and FSX crashed on each occasion. Uninstalled the T7 and await comment from PMDG.
  9. Yep, irrefutable - you definately had it in your hands last night (and probably the night before too)
  10. C:\Users\Andy\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX Substitute your name for 'Andy' {Controls} is a section withing the fsx.cfg file
  11. If I were a betting man I would say RC5 will never see the light of day.
  12. Aha Chmley was my dog - sadly was
  13. Lost on me
  14. Hello On your website you list a number of VA Affiliates and suggest members of those VA's may be able to get a discount on your products. How does that work? Thanks
  15. Part of the most recent 737NG update
  16. :( Decided I would rather not upset Mr V and incur a ban. Probably would have limited effect if I did as in recent times I have rarely posted preferring to sit and curse the number of posts that are largely self gratifying screenshots that plague the site. There are some people who must spend all their time pressing the 'V' key and uploading instead of doing FS is for - flying.
  17. Changed my mind again - blah blah blah
  18. Changed my mind - simply a waste of time
  19. Erm - where it has been for the last 3 or 4 months - in the hangar. Not much likelihood of it rolled out anytime soon due to significant and unavoidable scheduling conflicts.
  20. I don't care if PMDG move to P3D or not. With OrbX making their stuff available I will gladly pick up the low and slow(er) add ons that do work and enjoy myself. I do have the NGX and enjoy using it but I'mm not gonna be Sim Bound by one add on.
  21. Does this work in FSX? I thought it was only for FS9.
  22. Jim, you are a very popular man. May I have the download link and instructions please. Thanks in advance.
