Good afternoon, After lurking these forums for a while, I though it was time to ask for suggestions on my new build. Currently, I'm looking for a system that's under $2000 CAD that can run FSX or P3D very well. I have looked on various sites regarding the best parts for FSX\P3D and tried to match the best I could for my budget. Here is my current parts list (In Canadian Dollars): Intel Core i7-6700K Quad-Core Processor - $460.98 Corsair H80i GT Liquid CPU Cooler - $99.33 Asus Z170-A ATX LGA 1151 Motherboard - $207.25 G.Skill TridentZ Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory - $119.99 Crucial BX200 480GB 2.5" SSD - $154.99 EVGA Geforce GTX980 4GB Superclocked Video Card - $693.98 Corsair SPEC-01 RED ATX Mid Tower Case - $64.00 Corsair CX-750W 80+Modular Power Supply - $94.98 LG Standard DVD\CD Writer - $16.85 Asus Xonar DS 24bit 192KHz Sound Card 7.1 - $59.88 (Will try on-board sound first) Asus PCE-N15 802.11b\g\n Wireless Card - $34.33 Total (CAD): $1932.57 (After mail-in rebate) Now my questions is, are there any parts that I could possibly change in order to reduce the overall cost but, not affect performance? I know that it's difficult to say what the outcome will be since all systems are different. Any comments are welcome. Thanks for your time.

Thanks for the awesome update. 777 is flying great and VAS has dropped significantly. I am seeing a good jump in frames too! (Might be due to my system since it's not top of the line at all. So any extra processes is well accepted). Happy New Year!

That makes sense! It could have been a much higher number in the PERF INIT page at the gate. I might have skipped over it by mistake and assumed PFPX was inputting that information automatically. I will re-visit the flight in the future and see if that was the culprit. Thanks for your time, Kyle.

Steps to reproduce would be to start the flight at KIAD with exact weight\fuel figures. Step climb would be roughly 30 minutes after departure up to FL340. Using the 737-900WL latest version. Also, If you have ASN, I have been using LIVE weather from Dec, 6th. 2015, in case you need to use historical. CRZ ALT was at 32000 in the PERF INIT Page. This information was provided to me by PFPX, exported directly to the NGX. Hi Kyle, Found this issue about 30 minutes ago. Currently flying KIAD - KLAX. Wanted to step climb, so I entered "34000" in the CRZ page since I was stepping up from FL320. Once I hit execute, the descent mode activated. I held off the decsent by hitting ALT HOLD. I manually flew up to 34000. When holding at FL340, tried entering the new altitude in the CRZ page and it just goes directly to the DES page again. Now, I'm also noticing single digits when trying to enter "any" information in the L FMC. I have to currently use to R FMC in order to enter information. I don't usually need to use step climbs in the NGX, so I can't say I've done it before. Here's how I was going to initiate the step climb: Enter FL340 in the CRZ page, reset MCP ALT to 34000 and hit FLCH. maybe I'm doing something wrong here? As of right now, I'm in ALT HOLD at FL340, with SPD Intervention armed at .79 Mach since VNAV wants to reduce power for decsent. Funny thing is CRZ is still showing on EICAS screen. Hi Kyle, I have found the culprit to the landing lights issue. It seems that REX has installed certain textures that effect the intensity of the landing lights on teh NGX and 777. Solution: In the REX 4 Window, go to Textures > Sun\Lighting > Landing Lights. In the drop down menu, I chose Landing Light Textures: For use with RealAir Turbine Duke. (You don't have to own the Duke, it's a built in option via REX software). Hit Install and lights should work normally. Just thought I'd let you know in case anyone else is having this issue. Hi Kyle, Sorry, I should have been more clear. I did uninstall ENB series a couple days ago since it was causing me so much grief. I'm wondering if it has an effect on the NGX at all. I read somewhere that the NGX lights are a part of the aircraft model? If that's the case, it could be something else then. Thanks for your help. That's it! Bingo. I remember I installed an ENB series Shader. Been having so many issues because of it. (Especially when flying PMDG products, the ENB series .dll would cause a CTD when exiting or when I went into windowed mode. The .dll was stated in the error log). Hi Kyle, I've been having this issue recently with the NGX. Landing lights are cut short. Also, taxi lights and landing lights are very dim. Not like they are supposed to look. (I cant figure out when this started happening). Have you heard of any fix for this? Or, a possible program that causes this anomaly? Thank you, Sante-
