About Me

  • About Me
Started with MS flight simulator back in 1987 when it was version 2 (I think), stuck with it till now (FSX, FSX-SE, P3D all versions and MSFS), couldn't get along with X-Plane (Sorry).
    I work in aircraft maintenance since 1990, worked on L1011, MD11, B777-200/300/F, B747 classic -400 and -8F, E-170, A320/1, and B787-9/10.

  1. for me PL reduced sim loading time by about 2 min, it was 5 min plus, now it is 3min plus, long pauses when reaching large 3rd party airports is significantly shortened. smoothness over all is much better during taxi, take off and landings (except for large airports loading as mentioned above.
  2. (if you have) ships add on (called GAIST I think) in community folder disable it and test your sim, I had some kind of similar problem when I get closer to sea/ocean but it wasn't constant, it happens once when reaching any water corridor, disabled the thing and smoothness restored, if you don't have it, I would assume it is an add on that causes the issue, empty your community folder and test, good luck. P.S. I'm running SU15 beta.
  3. I would suggest a default setup in nVIDIA inspector (with no presets), it might work, I have seen unexplainable results from some presets in a way or another.
  4. you read to much into the free thing that I was using to clear my point of the importance of what going to be needed for future growth of market place which is the intended cash cow, and as you said, the updates to MSFS 2020 worth more than what we paid for the original release.
  5. the current code (inherited from FSX) reached it maximum potential, can't be modified no more, they still have a lot to simulate (as requested by users, check wish list), for example and not limited to, balloons (hot air effects), space travel, seasons, water and sea/rivers/falls/dirt/mud effects, trains, and so on so forth, I won't be surprised if MSFS 2024 became a free update for current users, the goal is to keep market place pumping.
  6. it is important for them to have both sims run most of the marketplace add ons, that is where the most of the profit comes from, the sim is a platform, you pick what ever suet you based on your budget and hardware capability.
  7. nice one 😁, maybe I should have said (I can't tell the difference), would that work OK for you? English is my third language, but you know what I mean, right?
  8. I would love to see a side by side comparison between default weather engine and ASFS, I honestly can't see the difference thus far in cloud formation and levels, as far as historical weather, it is another story/subject.

  10. would you please explain how can I do that? it has been a long time since I used the inspector.
  11. many thanks for the heads up. does swapper do the required changes/tweaks to install the new preset (E)? if not, how can we activate it?
  12. OK, try selecting your max monitor resolution (even if it is already selected) and save it, some times what is shown in selection is not what is displayed actually by the monitor. I'm trying to help based on my experience with ultra wide monitor a few years ago. good luck.
  13. turn lens correction OFF in general settings, it might help.
