  1. Thank you, thank you, thank you for releasing the paint kit!
  2. I did disconnect my Saitek Multi-Panel to see if it was the culprit and I am still having the same issue. I will send a support ticket.
  3. A big thanks to the following controllers who did a great job in today's fly-in:Dominique Septembre: CYOW_APPTryatan Verf: CYOW_TWR & CYAM_TWRTony Koch: CZYZ_ CTRThanks for coming out to control guys and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
  4. I have tried both add-on scenery and FSX default and I have the same issue. Note that I only have this problem w/ the PMDG-747-400. Any other aircraft works fine.
  5. Hi all, Having an issue with the 747-400 where upon touchdown the landing gear goes up. This is not a case of a very hard landing and I can confirm that the gear is down prior to landing as per my flight log: 04:18 Flaps:1º at 219 Knots04:19 Flaps:5º at 199 Knots04:19 Flaps:1º at 199 Knots04:20 Flaps:5º at 202 Knots04:23 Flaps:10º at 173 Knots04:23 Gear Down: 162 Knots04:24 Flaps:15º at 157 Knots04:24 Flaps:5º at 157 Knots04:24 Flaps:15º at 158 Knots04:24 Flaps:20º at 160 Knots04:24 Flaps:15º at 161 Knots04:24 Flaps:20º at 160 Knots04:24 Flaps:15º at 160 Knots04:24 Flaps:20º at 160 Knots04:24 Flaps:25º at 160 Knots04:26 Wind:119º@004 Knots Heading: 088º Ground Speed: 163 Knots Altitude 1722 ft04:28 TouchDown:Rate -56 ft/min Speed: 137 Knots04:28 Gear Up: 127 Knots04:28 Land04:28 Wind:120º@004 Knots I am using the Saitek Multi-Panel which does have a gear lever and it is one of the few controls on the panel that does work with the 747-400. Anyone else ever had this issue and more importantly, how did you resolve it? Thanks in advance,
  6. We have textures for the PDMG 747 (FS9 & FSX) and have a Free Flying Policy which means no fixed routes. You can fly anywhere in the world you like.
  7. Did a flight last night from CYOW to CYYT after installing the hot fix and I did not get the dreaded panel freezes. Will do another flight today and see what happens. Couple things I have noticed since installing the hotfix:1. FPS does not seem to be quite as good as before the hotfix;2. ActiveSky Evolution Direct Weather Control can't be used because aircraft does not follow the LNAV profile properly, so I switch to standard. However, whenever ActiveSky Evolution updates, I get this flickering at the top 1/5 of my screen that I do not recall seeing before hand.3. Patiently waiting for the Paint Kit.
  8. Once you set up inspector, you are good to go. The settings are saved in a profile and are used whenever you start FSX.
  9. I don't know if anyone has encountered this, but the Wind Speed and Direction which is normally located in the top left corner of the PFD seems to appear and disappear. This happens on every flight and regardless of where I fly. I am using ActiveSky Evolution on a secondary PC connection through SimConnect.
  10. Great comments and I am sure you are not alone. Many pilots that I know of are upgrading to FSX because of PMDG, but also because of other amazing addon aircraft such as Carando, RealAir and scenery such as SimAddOns and OrbX.
  11. Real Air Duke for sure and the Aerosoft Twin Otter is another good one.
  12. We are using several ISG aircraft in FSX and have not had any issues. The only draw back is that they do not have VCs, which is a shame, because otherwise, they are excellent models.
  13. Although, I never really exchanged messages with Opa, I noticed that he often posted messages in the forums and was a real asset to the FS Community as he was always helping out other pilots. RIP
  14. In reading some of the posts, I have read that FSUIPC autosave may be the problem. I do use this and I am experiencing the issue, so I will disable it and do some more flights and test this theory and advise.
  15. Was flying from CYZF to PANC and everything was functioning normally. I had originally planned to land on Rwy 07R however the winds changed to Rwy 14. I proceeded to make the changes in my FMC and when I clicked the execute button, the aircraft took a dive towards the ground. FMC, all controls on the glareshield, and data on the PFD were frozen. (i.e. IAS was always at 275kts and altitude FL340). Disabling the autopilot, autothrottle, etc. did nothing. Basically the aircraft dove to the ground and there was nothing I could do to recuperate. NOTE: FSX is not frozen, nor is the aircraft. just the above mentionned controls of the aircraft.
  16. I know as with the release of a new product, things never go as planned, as there are web site issues, lots of technical support questions, to answer, but you guys should give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done. PMDG has certainly raised the bar as far as as modeling of FSX aircraft. The 737NGX is a piece of art as nothing was left to spare as every detail has been modeled. Great job!
  17. Hi all, It was my understanding that the Paint Kit would for the PMDG 737NGX would be released the same time as the aircraft, but I do not see it in the downloads section. Any idea, when this will be released? Regards,

  19. Definately go with the SPAD drivers. I had nothing but issues with my Saitek gear with panels not working, freezing, etc. until I installed the SPAD drivers. Now I don't have anymore issues. One other thing you may need to look at is Power. I had to purchase an externally powered USB hub, as with all my Saitek gear, some of my Saitek stuff wouldn't start because I was draining too much power on my USB ports.
  20. Vataware is a great tool and there is also the VATSIM Statistics Center that can give you a lot of information on a particular pilot. You may want to look into using an Acars system that will do this for you.
  21. Needless to say, pilots in our VA (like everyone else) is anxiously awaiting the release of the B737NGX. When released, it is going to be a mad-dash to purchase, install and then paint it in our livery. Is there anyway to get a copy of the paint kit prior to the release?
  22. It may be a bit off topic, but any sign of a paint kit or at the very least blank textures for the Turbine Duke?We have pilots that are asking us to add this to our fleet (we already have the Prop. version)
  23. If I can fly it on the VATSIM network, then I will most likely purchase it.No VATSIM and I will stick with FSX.
