SimBrief and PMDG
Yes Peter, i´m having the same problems as you have, at least with the 777-200ER, not with the 737-600 though, works as usual. I was considering to open a support ticket at PMDG. Btw, i tried everything within my knowledge to troubleshoot the issue but no luck. My workaround for now is to download the route and weather files at simbrief and place them in the corresponding folders, that works.

Which Zurich FSDT or Aerosoft?
Also , bare in mind that the Aerosoft version uses the "Airport Controller Module" and that is giving headaches to quite a lot of people (including myself) and yes, i second what Dan mentioned : the Aerosoft Support leaves a lot to be desired, to say the least. I´m with FSDT, never had problems with it and stay away from Aerosoft if possible. Regards, Lars

CJ2 frame rate performance
Hi Dave, What you´re experiencing is a known flaw / issue inherent to FSX, it´s not aircraft specific as far as i´m aware. (Please, other forum members chime in and correct me if i´m wrong). Btw., this does not happen in P3D anymore, apparently they found a "cure" for the cursor issue. Lars

i5 6600K for FSX/P3D/Xplane?
To be honest, i don´t really care about a few frames more or less, fluidity is the key, you can partly achieve this with fairly modern hardware, but also a properly configured OS and proper system maintenance. But there are a lot of threads available here, to help you out. Obviously all depends on how many bucks you are willing to spend. So, for now, i´ll stick with what i have. When my PC dies, i´ll have the same dilemma as you  Hopefully you´ll get it sorted out. Lars

i5 6600K for FSX/P3D/Xplane?
Hi Martin, your absolutely right about "cooling", i just mentioned the watercooling, because when i build my PC i had no choice and bought a Corsair H80i (not the best choice and makes a hell of a noise at full power, though very efficient). Unfortunately, i live on a small island and if i want to get specific hardware, it´s sometimes a major "P.I.T.A". Actually, i´m also considering to buy a nice Air Cooling System, when the time is right. By no means i wanted "Midcon" to buy a Water Cooling, it was just a suggestion  As we all know, there are a million ways to build a PC for our specific needs. Regards, Lars

i5 6600K for FSX/P3D/Xplane?
The setup you listed is exactly the same that i´m using with P3D V3 and i´m more tan happy with the performance. My I5-6600K is overclocked at 4,5 GHz with watercooling and runs very stable. FYI, i use only complex stuff like ORBX, PMDG, etc. Even though you will need to make some compromises, when you fly with complex aircraft and dense scenery, you have to balance your settings accordingly. I can easily get about 60 Fps with a PMDG aircraft in complex scenery. Obviously, if your budget is high enough, you might consider getting the best you can. At least i´m very happy with my setup and it gives me lots of power for complex stuff with moderate to high settings. Regards, Lars

Unfortunately i´m in the same boat, not working, just opened a ticket, hopefully they´ll reply. Anyway it´s one of my favorite planes and i would even pay the full price again, but if i can save 10 bucks, i´ll keep them for my next purchase

Problems with Support ?
Hi, 4 days ago i opened a support ticket (billing/license issue) and still didn´t get a response. Don´t missunderstand me, by no means i´m complaining, i was just wondering if there was a problem with the support-ticket system. The only two tickets i opened time ago were answered even the same day, so i know that your support is pretty fast and efficient. Any help is greatly appreciated, Best regards, Lars Stahmann

Salzburg released by Digital Design
Hi, Nassau, Rome, Bonaire and Svolvaer actually use SODE 1.21. Just popped over to the aerosoft forum and one of the support staff members stated, that they just received an email from the developer of LOWS, confirming that LOWS will aslo work with SODE 1.21. Lars Sorry, i hit the "send" button too early ! more information can be found at the Aerosoft Support Forum, there´s a pinned Topic on top regarding SODE issues and hopefully some workarounds. Lars

Salzburg released by Digital Design
i can only second that, if i install LOWS it will break at least 4 other (Aerosoft) airports. Actually it looks great, yesterday i bought it , but i,ve not installed it because of the SODE incompatibilities. Another concern is the lack of support : no website, no fórum (only russian), so i´ll wait for a little bit more feedback from users or maybe from the developer and see if there is a way to install this scenery, without breaking others. Mouse pointer "swollen" in DSR and fullscreen
Yes Steve, that was the first thing i did, also resetted the NVI profile and build a new one. I must have a "Gremlin" somewhere .

Mouse pointer "swollen" in DSR and fullscreen
Thanks for your answer, No, there is no microscopic line, except if you refer to the upper menu bar, obviously it´s very tiny, though quite readable with DSR factor 4, wich btw. gives me nice performance. I´ll keep on trying, must be a Windows 10 issue as i never experienced this with Windows 7. Regards Lars

Mouse pointer "swollen" in DSR and fullscreen
Hello, since DSR came out , i´ve been using it successfully on Windows 7-64 and a 660TI, never had any issues. Unfortunately my Mobo died and i had to buy new hardware, also took the plunge and installed a fresh Windows 10. So now I´m running FSX-SE (alone) on Windows 10 with a GTX970 4GB. So far so good, to be honest everything works great and smooth, except for one thing : As mentioned i use FSX-SE in DX10 (Steves Fixer with same settings i had on Windows 7) combined with appropriate NVI settings and combined with DSR factor 4 and 33% smoothing, wich works great for me, the only annoying problem is that whenever i switch to fullscreen to enable DSR and move the mouse pointer over a clickspot, it becomes huge (about 4 times its original size), as i move away from the clickspot, it recovers its normal size.(never happened in Windows 7) Did anybody else experience the same ? Searching google didn´t give me any answers, btw. i tried literally everything : different AA settings, different mouse pointers, enabling and disabling pointer shadows, etc.,etc., but no luck. FSX is running as Administrator,so i´m really clueless and tired. Does FSX-SE need to run in any compatibility mode in Windows 10 ? I have latest Nvidia Drivers installed and Windows fully updated. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards Lars Stahmann

SOP 3 problem
Ok Folks, just a little update on the checklist issue, the problem is solved. In case anybody else experiences the same problem, just make sure you only run the Transit Checklists on the second flight of the day or later. Or Open the Config Panel-> CFG->Setup and change "First Flight of the day" to NO, doing so you can also use the Transit Checklists . Regards Lars

SOP 3 problem
Hi Bryan, Thanks for looking into issue Nr. 1. Regarding issue Nr. 2, as i mentioned in my previous post : I´m stupid ! I used the PA-Menu instead of speaking it. So i´m off for another flight and test it. Regards Lars

SOP 3 problem
Hi Folks , this new versión is wonderfull and absolutely immersive, my favourite so far is SOP 3 (lot of things to do !), i have a problem with some challenges though. Whenever i go through the "Transit before checklist to the line" i get stuck at EFB, my reply is airplane mode and stowed (Green bar detects that perfectly) but the FO doesn,t respond , so no way to continue, i then say :Set and checked, the FO asks me "Are you sure? and jumps to anti collision lights, wich belongs to the "below the line" checklist, btw at the time i read the checklist, chocks are removed, and all doors and hatches closed and the aircraft is configured for engine start. That was problem Nr. 1. Nr. 2 is that at gate arrival, after engine shutdown, the doors won´t open (FS2Crew config is set to manage the doors), now my question : wich PA must be done ? Checklist says : CABIN CREW DISARM SLIDES AND OPEN DOORS, but in the PA menu i don´t get this option, there are the following options only : CABIN CREW DISARM SLIDES AND XCHECK and CABIN CREW DOORS MAYBE OPENED. Tried both of them, but doors don´t open. Everything else Works like a charm, only these two issues are annoying me, probably i´m too stupid ! so help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Regards Lars

Too much nose trim up on takeoff
Yes, same problem for me, i was about to ask this, too ! Lars

Landing Checklist
Hi Bryan, first of all : awesome product, as usual ! I have a little problem, wich is not a showstopper, but it´s quite annoying. Every time i call for the landing checklist, the FO doesn´t respond (landing checklist command is recognized and properly displayed), the only way to go through the landing checklist is switching to approach and then back to landing. I´ve done at least 20 flights , following the flows to the letter, everything is properly set up for landing : Flaps3/Full, Sliding table stowed, cabin crew advised, Go around altitud set, etc., etc. I even did a fresh reinstall of Airbus and FS2Crew, still the same. It´s driving me nuts ! Is there any specific trigger apart of the ones in the Captains Flow, cause I´m sure that i´m missing something important, everything else from Take off Briefing to Approch Checklist Works flawlessly. Thanks in advance for your help Regards Lars
