Active Sky 2016 and ASCA compatibility with PMDG 777
Well, I can't find the actual forum thread on HiFi sim forum but nothing has changed regarding the winds-downloading, so it works just like ASN. I have AS16 and ASCA and I didn't have time to find out myself, I only flew with the Dash 8 Q400 and it's amazing! Greetings, Peter Aertssen EHAM

I probably shouldn't even ask this question, but....
To answer the OP his question: I have both: PMDG 737 (and T7) as well as the Aerosoft Airbus. In terms of seeing how well P3D does it on your system in terms of frame rates I think the Airbus is a good solution. It doesn't costs much and it's for FSX and P3D, no need for a different license. The Airbus is indeed not that detailed as PMDG planes (and random failures are not simulated) but it's still a nice plane to fly with. I suggest you follow the tutorial flight which will be installed automaticly and you will see it flies itself (well, almost....) As for P3D: I'm sure you'll be convinced that it's worth every penny you've paid for it. It runs much smoother on my system in terms of memory and frame rates. I'm completely done with FSX and now I have this complete new flightsim experience of flying the T7 for +8 hrs without any stutters or memory problems at all. Sure it means you'll have to invest in your new flightsim, but it's well worth the money. Greetings, Peter Aertssen EHAM

P3d PMDG 777 crash
Hi, I don't know if it has anything to do with it but P3D installed in the D:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3 folder could be the cause. It's wise to install P3D in its own folder, like D:\Prepar3D v3 for example. Greetings, Peter Aertssen Amsterdam

FSX 777 into P3D V3 777
Hi, Well, I see it this way: If you decide to buy a new sim, be P3D to buy scenery and addon planes as you whish. It goes with the flow: necessary buys for your hobby to fulfil your needs..... I'm not going to debate on the pricing policy of PMDG, I kinda understand their reasons. And after all I believe it's well worth the money..... I am personally very pleased I switched to P3D v3, although my bank account disagrees...... It's just a choice you have to make (and I did make that choice to switch to P3D). Greetings, Peter Aertssen EHAM

FSX SP2 or FSX Acceleration
FSX + SP2 = FSX Acceleration (almost). The only diffrence is that FSX Acceleration was released after the original FSX was patched with SP1 and SP2. Acceleration includes both SP1 and SP2. With Acceleration you also have an extra plane and some adventures if I recall correct. So there should be no diffrence in preformance if you install FSX + SP1 + SP2 or Acceleration. Apart from Nafsir recommending FSX Steam Edition I can also recommend P3D v3. I've "upgraded" my sim from FSX Acceleration to P3D v3 and I have seen double frame rates and more smoothness than in FSX. Also P3D v3 uses Direct X 11 and HDR with stunning views. And the way it uses memory: it's definately more memory friendly as FSX. Greetings, Peter Aertssen Amsterdam

EHAM - SUGOL 2A P-RNAV Transition.
Please bear in mind that the SUGOL 2A is a RNAV NIGHT INSTRUMENT APCH BY ATC DURING NIGHT HOURS (22-05)...... During day time it is even more a joy to fly in EHAM as you can see Amsterdam and its suburbs. You can also fly LEBL-EHAM, LEMD-EHAM, LFPG-EHAM, EDDM-EHAM, EGLL-EHAM to name a few (these are all real world routes).
- Yet another happy Opus user.....

Question about a particular ATC jargon
http://www.nianet.org/Publications/Technical-Reports/pdfs/2007/2007-06tmp-r1.aspx Quote<The In-Trail Procedure (ITP) algorithm is an airborne software module of the AirborneTraffic Situational Awareness – In-Trail Procedure (ATSA-ITP) application in non-radarairspace. This software module is responsible for computing the flight deck informationneeded by the crew to determine whether the criteria required for an ITP procedure are metor not. This information is processed by a host application that decides how and when it isdisplayed to the crew.>unquote This explains the lot. Just a Google search...... Peter AertssenAmsterdam

This is my MD11- power quadrant
Hi,There is no need for this. If you move your trottle down in the red zone it will activate a key press. In FSUIPC you can assign that key press to decrease throttle, repeat while key is pressed and then return to idle. Works for me like a charm.Regards,Peter AertssenAmsterdam

Free Us Charts
www.vroute.netThere are 2 versions, a free one and premium. If you have the money, I should go for the premium. It's just like PMDG: well worth the money! It has:- A huge database of routes all over the world. (At this moment there are 76088 routes in database).- You can add your own route and, if confirmed it will be stored in the database.- If you have a Navigraph account, it will also see if your route meets the latest AIRAC.- The possibility to export your flightplan to PMDG, FSX and many many other popular programs.- A fuel calculation based on your route. Currently for PMDG 737 series and the 747, the author is working on MD-11 fuel calculation.- Links to (FREE!) charts based on your route.- Build-in VATSIM function to file your flight on VASTIM.I always use this program. It has it all! :( PeteEHAM

Huge FPS loss but why Please read Everyone!!!!!
>Oops - I was just about to buy the 747, but from the article>linked to in your post I understand that it is not likely to>work well with Vista 32?>Tom RisagerHi,I'd like to comment on your post.I'm running Vista Home Premium 32 bit with 2GB ram, 4GB flash, XFX GeForce 8800GTX XT 768MB DDR3.I have some excellent payware planes in my hangar, one of them is the PMDG 747 QOS. Mostly I do flights up to 12 hrs. The QOS operates like it should without any problem on my machine.FSX (SP1 and SP2), ASX, XGraphics, RC4, FSC.Greetings,PeteEHAM
