You need to set your flight altitude and landing altitude before takeoff.

i have the same setup as you. I use SPAD instead of the provided Saitek yoke software. Haven't had any problems since.

I think it does this for one of two reasons: 1) to get the altitude lower, or 2) to get the speed lower. Hope this helps.

Have you update your EFB datafile via Navigraph?

The port number is just a portal between clients. It will not care if it is wireless or wired.

You do not need static IP addresses for either computer. As long as your router/switch is passing out DHCP addressing. Start the provider computer first.

I have the two FMC's on a separate monitor. Is there supposed to be backlighting on the keys and if so, where am I missing the control for the intensity? I have reviewed the AOA video on lighting and can't seem to figure out if there is FMC lighting or not. Thanks for a great aircraft!Ron Musick

FWIW: I was having random freezes/lockups of FSX that required a hard reboot. After much troubleshooting, I discovered a bad Western Digital Velociraptor hard drive. I replaced that drive with a known good one and everything seems to be fine now. Unfortunately when FSX froze, it did not leave anything in the logs. BTW, the hard drive tested good when performing a CHKDSK and also when using the WD diagnostic software. Apparently this behavior is fairly common of the velociraptor hard drives; just Google them and read all the weird problems others are having. Please don't mis-understand me, I am a long time comsumer of WD drives and would not hesitate to purchase another. Just something to consider if you're having this type of issue......

I don't know about the problems with other VATSIM contoller areas, but I can tell you that there would probably be a great deal more controllers in the Denver airspace if we had a different Air Traffic Manager. This hobby doesn't need an egotistical and biased against women individual in that position or any other position of authority. Just my opinion.

FSX continues to freeze and a hard reboot is necessary. This can be reproduced when scrolling thru the FMS legs page after the aircraft has been airborne for an hour or more. Great aircraft if I could just find a way to keep it in the air.... The logs do not show any error. XFX 780i motherboard, with Q9650 processor o/c to 4.08 GB Corsair RAMEGVA GTX 480 video card - factory o/cAll watercooled, including processor, north and south bridge, video card I have tried flying this aircraft without TrackIR5 and any other add-ons, but the end result is the same. I have also applied the HIGHMEM=1 fix and tried several others. Same result. Anyone have any ideas?
