  1. If you dont know you have ENB then you dont. It is a lighting MOD and you have to manually install it into your FSX folder. Some people can run it just fine and some have problems with it. I fall in the later. Also another note, I have started NOT entering the SID in my flight plans. That way if ATC wants me somewhere else I simply can use another SID as long as the new SID being used has a common transition waypoint. Jim Jim Well thats a new one to me! I have never seen that. RC shouldnt be doing anything to your textures. I would start a thread on the RC forum and see if they can help. Jim
  2. Cameron, I get everythng setup and the last thing I do is start RC. I ALT ENTER to go into window mode and then setup and start RC and then ALT ENTER back into full screen mode. If you are using ENB you may want to try running without it and see if you have problems. As muh as I liked ENB I simply cant run it ever since I started flying the NGX. Now as far as your STAR question goes, you must have the waypoints for the STAR in the flightplan and a STAR is not a IAP. The STAR's job is to get you to the start of the approach and RC will then want to vector you AFTER contacting approach. It is then you need to select IAP if you so desire. I read on the RC forum that it has been asked to allow us to ask for a IAP before contacting approach in the next version of RC. Jim
  3. Yes, it works fine. For flight plans I use a combination of FlightAware http://flightaware.com/analysis/route.rvt and Simroutes http://www.simroutes.com/fb2/ParseRoute.aspx . After you generate a flight plan in Simroutes you then have a option to export it into many format types like PMDG, LevelD, FSX, FS9, ect et. Select the FSX format and save it and RC will be able to import that into it. You need to turn off or uncheck voice in the sound options in FSX. Jim
  4. Just did a flight KFLL - KTPA and used your tip on adding a fix in this case TPA and added a /40 which gave me the 40 mile radius visual and it worked like a charm for me. I think this is the first time I never got yelled at for missing my crossing restriction!!!! Thanks for your help and the GREAT support you give all of us in need! Jim
  5. Ron, another question for you... when ATC instructs to descend from FL123 to FLXXX what rate of descent would be good to shoot for? Should I keep in mind the crossing restriction of 11 - 12 thousand feet and base it on that? Jim
  6. Thanks for the quick reply and for the range ring tip Ron! I will give it a shot on my next flight.
  7. I have been flying the 737 NGX alot recently and have a question about the desent. Is there a way to have RC alow me to fly my desent as assigned in the FMS? I ask this because RC never matches even close to what the FMC wants and almost always has me taking the bird down before I even get to my TD. If not then what is the point of a desent profile? - Jim
  8. With your system you may benefit in UN checking the Hi-res virtual cockpit option in FSX.
  9. um... thats 3150 posts to be exact Agent 007. You know, this is not the first post I have seen with NGX stirring it up, and prob. wont be the last.
  10. Doing some flying are we? Off topic but I rode my motorcycle down to KATL today for some spotting and just as I pulled into my secret spot I was greeted with a Korean Air 747 landing right in front of my view. Its great to see that close up. - Jim
  11. I "THINK" I just did also flying into KPDX. After I landed I had no engine thrust to taxi (although I could here the engines running) could not turn... couldnt do anything except for to say .... well damn... just damn, what a way to end a perfect flight. - Jim
  12. Im not seeing that on my system. Jim
  13. Fly the tutorial flight, it goes over that function. Basicly all you need to do is enter the runway length and altitude but the tutorial covers it. - Jim
  14. 100% percent sure it is due to being in windowed mode. In windowed mode even if you have VSYNC on you will not get VSYNC. If you wish to eliminate your problem you will need to run in full screen. - Jim
  15. PM me your email address and I will send you a fixed AFCAD. John Goodwin from the UT2 forum fixed it for me. He said the issue was that the AFCAD had none of the nodes connected and because of that the AI would NEVER takeoff. He went thru and fixed all of them for me and he said he was suprised that it worked at all. I would never had bought it but they are the only developers that have done KATL. If FSDT or Fly Tampa ever do ATL I will be all over it. No more money from me to ImagineSim. - Jim
  16. I tried that also and I was able to keep my AA ithe ENB and I got normal FPS in the VC but if I went to the 2D my FPS went from 30 to 10. There is something there that is not in agreement using ENB and NGX. 2D FPS should shoot thru the roof. - Jim
  17. If it says vector then the STAR in use requires vectors from ATC. Unfortunately there is no ATC that can do this in FSX except for when flying online. You will need to navigate this yourself to the next waypoint. - Jim
  18. I dont use photo scenery but I think with it you need to lock your FPS within FSX and set a high TBM setting like 200 or so. Do a search, I remember reading about this issue in the past. - Jim
  19. Eric, if you have the new 737 NGX the ENB Mod "MAY" cause some problems. I ran ENB all the time but for some reason when I run it with the PMDG NGX I lose my AA. I read on the developers site that the cause of this is not enough video card ram. My card has 896 MB so if your card has 1 gig or more memory most likely you will be fine. - Jim
  20. virus software is just that... virus software. The thing to look for is one that has as low of an overhead on the system and NOD32 is one that has a very low overhead. NOD32 is that program and I dont have to turn off my antivirus to run fsx. - Jim
  21. ESET NOD32. Just the antivirus package not the security suite. http://go.eset.com/us/search-brand?CMP=KNC-g-ag&gclid=CKKms6LZ8KoCFUcbQgodvHNBQA -Jim
  22. @ Ironmaiden, I am pretty sure that WOAI doesnt call jetways. Inorder for a jetway to be called there has to be door assignments in the aircraft CFG, at least thats how I remember it. -Jim
