  1. Alan, I had a similar problem with a simconnect issue sometime ago, eventually, I was able to solve by using the repair opion using the original fsx discs. This worked for me, I can't pretend I have any knowledge or experience in understanding why this works I just remember some one else pointing me in that direction and was grateful that it was resolved. Good Luck Dave
  2. Nicely shot video, and shot from a different perspective, thanks.
  3. Hey Randy, Think that was a useful comparison and I tried similar at Heathrow London; I would agree with you, it seems to adding some extra value in the fight against falling FPS and I thought it felt a little smoother and not quite as 'juddery!' Of course its early days and others may report different experiences that aren't so positive. Anyway fingers crossed this can continue to be developed as I think these guys have found yet another potential breakthrough that improves arriving and departing some of the more complex airports and sceneries. Thanks Randy for your early report. Dave Gi
  4. Yes I know Gerry, you might not agree, this is his perspective; I don't agree either, the point I am making is that one does not have to be personal and rude. Just make the appropriate point without the personal references. DavGi
  5. The man was only expressing his opinion and view, nothing personal to you, so what's the problem. I am sure you can express your view point without a personal attack! Just my view DaveGi
  6. I think I may be experiencing a similar type of issue and one which so far I have failed to correct. I too have my flights and landings interrupted and terminated with the error message: HRESULT:0xC000014B; which I understand to be something to do with SimConnect. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, ASN, Rex4TD, FSC 9.5, reinstalled latest FSUIPC (unregistered version); used the FSX & Acceleration repair function on the DVD's all to no avail. I have flown without UT2 and turned my settings down without a result. I have until recently had a truly great and uninterrupted flying experience since moving to DX10 with Steve's Scenery Fixer and followed the wonderful DX10 setup instructions in AVSIM; alas, I am not sure what else to consider and hope to get some expert views perhaps and hopefully back to what I once had. 7. One can only speculate that while engaging in this behaviour at this point of aircraft operation, how focused is/are these guys??
  8. Thanks Rob, much appreciated your advice here, I think I will do a little experimenting this weekend. Dave
  9. Hi Rob, please excuse my ignorance, I realise you are using P3d however, would AM at 2388 work more favourably for DX10 also? Or have I totally misunderstood. Cheers Dave
  10. When I see great shots like this I just want to go flying; thanks fo sharing Brian
  11. Dear Paul, I have always listened when you have had something to say here on AVSIM, you will be greatly missed. Wishing you every success in your new venture.
  12. Many Happy Returns AVSIM; the best site ever
  13. Nice video; although am I right that you appear to activate the speedbrakes upon take off and for the remainder of the climb?
  14. Great to have you guys back, I was about to seek some counselling!!
  15. Thanks Rick have reassigned the button now and will try to make my video soon.
  16. Liked the video, would have enjoyed watching some more of your climb out of Manchester via 23L.
  17. Dave i re assigned the default shadow play record key to SHIFT+V, i had the same problem, you must also make sure the Shadow play mode is set to manual. click the little settings wheel to adjust, also make sure FSX is in Full window mode (i`m sure you know this already) . Rick Thanks Rick, I will try this out; how do you change the key assignments, I couldn't see a way to do this? Cheers Dave
  18. Does anyone know how to get Shadow Play to work? I recently downloaded with latest Nvidia drivers and it lets me switch it on indicated by the green light I guess; although, none of the Alt,,,, keys for recording/saving etc appear to do anything. I have a Titan card so that is sufficient in terms of hardware I understand; felt a bit 'thick' with this because it looks straightforward. Any help on pointing out to me the obvious may help. Thanks Dave
