    That's the way to sell this plane - I learned more from watching this video than all the forum comments, other non-pilot videos etc. This guy obviously knows the plane - smoothly and intuitively running the checks - brilliant.

    They've come up with something fairly brilliant - they'll redo TE Washington and all future TE products will be using ZL16 tiles with some ZL17 in detailed areas. According to Mr Wob (a familiar name) the ZL16 will allow a large reduction in total size (GB) but has a sharp filter feature which will retain detail. The elimination of the 40% crossover discount, which seemed too good to be true, was inevitable. They're in business to make money and we, if we want to, can spend some or not.

    Hadn't viewed the IPACS forum for several months and it seems while movement is still a cautious advance, still no decent in game camera? Even Laminar has a usable one. Little items like this which seem so off the scope with IPACS keep me from ever wanting to use it.

    It began life as freeware and when it got good enough, money become part of the deal. It's claimed to be a work in progress and it is improving slowly but there's a ways to go.

    Seems to be the trend but it lands real good, even with the G1000.

    For the low and slow enthusiasts, check out the 'Carbon Cub' just released by 'Big Tire'. It's their version of the 'Light Sport' Super Cub. Nicely modelled and flies like a dream - down the final, full flaps, with 40 or so indicated and solid as a rock - enough left to flare and go thunk with those big tires.

    That plane is expensive 'cause its got the 'gadget kit' attached. Some of us, who've flown some, consider this a detriment. Why would a real pilot ever want a landing evaluation flashed on the windshield for all his passengers to see?

    I read where the plan was to ensure that Orbx WA was compatible with the DD SEA airports and DD also claimes this is so. My Scenery_pack.ini has "DD Seattle Airports XP" right at the top - immediately followed by "ARoads" then "XP documents". Way down in the zzz section, I have "ZZZ DD......XP terrain". It's loading default scenery but the airports are good.. DISREGARD - I read the manual, amazing how that helps.

    They've finally stated unequivically that they're making an XP version of their latest "Sky Force'. Not this year but hopefully 2020 - described as a partial version (this could be a deal breaker) so we'll have to wait to see what's on offer.

    Since I have you on Tony - took a short flight out of Concrete to look at Mt Baker and it does look good. Several fairly large splotches of red were scattered hither and yon. Looks like some firebombers had dropped their loads or did you just spill some paint ☹️.

    I live in Rochester, 18 south of Olympia and found my house so the accuracy and detail are fine. If anything the colors lean towards ochres rather than green. Their satellite images must be from one of our hot, dry summers - most of the time it's fairly green - rain'll do that.

    On .org downloads - Hughes 500D. Hard to believe this began in XP8 - updated to 11.3 - looks good and flies good. Some great liveries by Paul Mort at same location.

    Personally, I'd like to know how much ($$$) this will affect current addons - scenery, aircraft and plugins. Will anything working in XP11 work in 12? You know developers are not going to be offering updates for free and I don't blame them. You can bet Laminar XP12 will be premium ($$$) for a start.

    Hey Dave, another Dave here. Their B727's pretty good too and the forthcoming 'updated' version of their Q400 should be a winner.

    Read on 'Threshold' that XP12 will be in beta by the end of the year and will include the Vulkan API - most of the conversion has been completed and they showed Orbx GBSouth running in Vulkan. Apparently both NVidia and AMD cards do equally well so, for those of us contemplating upgrades, grit your teeth for a while to see how it all falls into place.

    Bought the Pilatus about a year ago believing to be for XP11 and it does fly OK. Now it's cleariy marked for XP10 and the update requires all new money - good luck with that.
