More SAAB340 pictures
Cameron XA replied to MarioDonick's topic in The X-Plane General Discussions Forum
Old fashioned way for this. Using X-Plane's default weight and balance menu's for the majority of it (passengers and baggage excluded). The menu system for the Saab is very extensive, however, and we'll dive more into that soon. -

It's Saab 340A Release Week
Cameron XA replied to PWJT8D's topic in The X-Plane General Discussions Forum
There isn't. You obviously aren't interpreting it right. -
Just a heads up that we have posted new previews of the upcoming Saab 340A! As some of you may know, we are currently in beta testing phase with this product, and feedback has been phenomenal! We're really excited to get this one out to you and further show what X-Plane is capable of. You can see the latest preview here.

Mitsubishi MU-2 Marquise

It'll be there when you're ready! Just saw your order comments too, so I'll make that adjustment for you on the account merge. -
Mitsubishi MU-2 Marquise
Cameron XA replied to deetee's topic in The X-Plane General Discussions Forum
It was $30. We notified customers a while back that after 1.5 went out it would be increased to 34.95, so this is a follow through with that word. It will indeed be raised at the end of the weekend as is shown on the site. Now would be an excellent time to get this product at 40% (actually a little more) off if you've been eyeing it! -
X-Plane10 SkyMAXX Pro Video Trailer
Cameron XA replied to FIVE-BY-FIVE's topic in The X-Plane General Discussions Forum
This was addressed on X-Pilot, as I pointed out the same. As it turns out, the video render was sped up to a large degree, which caused this effect. The actual product has clouds that shift and change shape, and rotation is a part of that but not well depicted in the video due to the speed up. More vids will come, I'm sure. -
Saab 340A Enters Beta Testing!
Cameron XA replied to pryoski's topic in The X-Plane General Discussions Forum
At some point but not now. -
So, let's be clear here. The systems simulation behind the MU-2 is very complex...as complex or close to the complexity of the real aircraft itself. Most of everything in it is driven by the plug-in. There is very little by way of X-Plane default going on here. The MU-2 has consistently received great reviews and awards since 2008 (and recently got overhauled to be even better about a month or two ago). If you like turboprops, switches, etc, then this is easily a plane for you.

Saab 340A Enters Beta Testing!

Thanks for helping to spread the word! A few initial comments from our beta testers can be found here (post #5): http://forums.x-pilot.com/topic/5520-saab-340a-enters-beta-testing/?p=57592 -
It's against the terms of service of Google, and therefore has been removed from download.

Yes. You can ask, but I don't have an answer to give.
-
Not quite. It's been available in the previews forum for a while.

CRJ 200 1.5.3 released on X-Aviation
Cameron XA replied to anthony_d's topic in The X-Plane General Discussions Forum
Again, this was pretty well documented, Vincent. I won't get into details, but lets just say the original plan and agreement between all parties was to not release the update until all venues were ready. Someone slipped and either miscommunicated or went against the agreement, and put everyone in a bind. We dealt with the matter as best as we could, but it is the only product that had such an issue. This is just a consequence of being the exclusive and first venue for the product for almost six months, using a different plug-in library than the rest (each store uses different libraries) at the onset of release. Either way, it's past us and there's no such thing as 128-bit...yet. That said, if in doubt, ask us! We're always up front about any questions you may have. Customer service and even after sales support is very important to us! -
CRJ 200 1.5.3 released on X-Aviation
Cameron XA replied to anthony_d's topic in The X-Plane General Discussions Forum
This confuses me. What developer are you even talking about? EDIT: I understand now. That particular developer is just going wherever offers come from. His side of the XA CRJ project was done quite some time ago, so there was no weird hold up there, or even bad blood. The reason you see those products exclusive on the org is because VMAX (who is the owner of X-Plane.org) is the provider of financial backing to produce the products in question. Makes sense. -
CRJ 200 1.5.3 released on X-Aviation
Cameron XA replied to anthony_d's topic in The X-Plane General Discussions Forum
There's plenty of literature on this. Bottom line, each store runs different libraries for the CRJ within the actual plugin that it's built for. The conversion process on the X-Aviation library took much longer because the library had to be entirely re-written (only 32-bit existed). It also took a lot of work on Laminar's side to get it working correctly. -
Two quick questions on MU-2
Cameron XA replied to Comanche's topic in The X-Plane General Discussions Forum
Download them, install them, and see! The functionality was removed in 1.5 This is covered in the official support forum for this product. -
New Saab preview up!
Cameron XA replied to Arklight1's topic in The X-Plane General Discussions Forum
That's essentially why there's a dedicated forum to the project! Otherwise, the blog postings would be rather dull for three years of battled development. That said, we did post a blog entry on the Saab earlier on in the year. You can read it here. Thanks, Mike! -
AVSIM / X-Plane forum growing FAST!
Cameron XA replied to Leen3131cs's topic in The X-Plane General Discussions Forum
I have yet to hear of any Gizmo OOM crashes. SASL on the other hand, yes. I think it's a mixture of older and newer SASL versions out there. Gizmo is fully compliant with the new LUA spec and should not have any OOM issues at all. The MU-2 is fully compatible (only, actually) with 64-bit X-Plane. The 152 is not a Gizmo driven product (for now, anyhow). The Saab most definitely is. -
New Saab preview up!
Cameron XA replied to Arklight1's topic in The X-Plane General Discussions Forum
Thanks for the comments, guys! Our entire team appreciates the motivation! -
Thanks for all the compliments, guys, especially to Simon for the comment on our customer service. We try really hard to streamline our response time to issues and integrate systems across X-Pilot and X-Aviation. It's better not to spread ourselves too wide and start putting support responses across multiple places so our customers don't encounter frustration trying to find answers that may already exist. X-Pilot is just as easy to sign up on as is Avsim. We look forward to serving you if such is the case!

Trying to like X-Plane
Cameron XA replied to jtwhite's topic in The X-Plane General Discussions Forum
You are able to opt in to the betas by choice. Should you not wish to download them, a checkbox is present which will allow you to only download the last stable, considered "final" incremental version.
