  1. Damien the fix is working! Please contact us at www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/forums if you need further assistance.
  2. Hi this is caused by installing the upgrade into the wrong folder. The proper folder to install the upgrade in is the folder containing the "rex.exe" file from the current install! Matt's solution provides a work around, but only if the upgrade and current install are both with OD or without. Better is to uninstall the upgrade and reinstall to the proper folder.
  3. Hi I like the Cumulus set 33 HD a lot , looks a lot like every day clouds.
  4. Dave, the FlightAware option is what is says it is, an option. You don't need it to use Essential. If you experience otherwise, please open a topic in our support forums. We'll try to answer your questions.
  5. @TurboTomato: yes you will!
  6. You can get all information on the REX support forums.http://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/forums/

I second the idea about the colaboration around MS Flight. Bug free basic simulation engine from Flight and the "icing" from the top add on dev companies. Life can be good...:(
  9. Great stuff, really amazing! Can we preorder already?

  11. Well, that's not the way to do it.... :( .My advise is to search the correct simconnect.msi file; right click it and choose repair. If that doesn't work you have to start regedit, search for "simconnect" and delete all the entries you find in your registry. Now you can reinstall the 3 simconnect versions. It is not necessary to "downgrade" simconnect. It will not interfere with fsx if you're having simconnect versions installed that are not used by your add ons.
  12. First check if all three versions have installed.go to the folder windows\winsxs. do a search for simconnect. You should find three simconnect.dll amongst other stuff. If not, check which versions you got. To get them all together download and install the fsx sdk. The sdk is also on your cd's/dvd's I believe.
  13. Rather late, but not frequently on this forum. Strange problem. FSX opens the simconnect port on startup in listening mode. Should be available to ASE if you start after starting fsx. The other way around could be a problem, if ASE is not checking the port status after initial failure. I do not use ASE, so I don't know. It should work when you start FSX first. Can you monitor the status of the ports and check if fsx indeed opens the simconnect port(s)?
  14. Actually that is my real name (glued together) Happy flying! You can always run currports to see what happens. It is possible that ASX opened the connection via simconnect where the other programs aren't capable. It happened before...
