P3D V3 Ground Turn Radius
Is autorudder enabled in the sim?

VC10 for Prepar3d
The Trident seems to function OK albeit the effects will require tweaking. As you state it doesn't show up I suggest you pay close attention to where you copy the files to, the directory structure changed slightly from FS9-FSX/P3D.

P3D compatibility
Fearing we will never see a better model since the real model is nearing EOL and it is doubtful another software creator will have the resources of PMDG, together with their position not to update legacy products. Does anyone know how to get it functioning correctly in P3D? i.e. ILS offset tracking problem and load manager not showing send button. I expect flack over this question re EULA but cut me some slack, I only want to enjoy it in the enhanced environment that P3D brings. It seems such a shame the last 3 holer is destined to be a forgotten relic in FSX.

What Would be Your Next Old School Aircraft for P3Dv2?
I'd like: DC-10-30(B-Cal)/MD-10(FedEx) L1011(BA) Trident(BA) 727(Libyan Arab Airlines) Tu-154m(Aeroflot) I've a thing for 2-holers!

British Airways World Cargo
Try one of the early 707s, especially the type operated by the USAF. Now they were LOUD, like enough to split concrete... fingers in ears job!

British Airways World Cargo
More depressing is that there are no airworthy Tridents around :-(

New DC-10 (work in progress)
I see CLS are working on a new DC-10 model, it looks to be quite good, I hope it performs as it should. The reason I am posting is that due to there not being a quality DC-10 for FSX/P3D I have become used to the glass cockpit of the MD-11 over the last few years. It's a fine plane but my heart belongs with the DC-10, preferring the soulful wail of the CF6-50s to the mournful howl of the 11's CF6-80s. So wouldn't it be fantastic if CLS did an MD-10 FedEx model. All the best bits from both types, the chubby &@($* dragging stance of a heavy 10 and her rip roaring engines combined with the ease of one man desktop piloting in the glass cockpit. Some of you simmers with a fondness for 3 holer types may recall the attempt to release a model by a company called XSimulate a few years ago, I hope CLS deliver the goods and it doesn't end up a failed project. I hope you all had a merry Christmas, happy landings in the new year.

New to PMDG, Graphics Issue
Perhaps deleting the SHADERS cache folder and letting it rebuild would help.

Sink Rate Warning & Hard Landing during Autoland
If you turn on visible thermals in FSX you should see spirals/circling birds where you are having problems, I've no idea how they chose the default locations. Turning off thermals in FSX may affect externally injected weather, that is why I recommend deleting the file. Re PMDG 777 Autoland behaviour, I can't comment on the real thing but one can assume that as a desktop simulation not all the systems are modelled 100% and until discrepancies outside the basic operation are noted and fixed there will always be the odd quirks.

Sink Rate Warning & Hard Landing during Autoland
The OP said it had nothing to do with ASN, not that it wasn't weather related. I am talking about the default thermals the sim has with any weather except clear skies and/or thermal effect toggled off. All I suggested was give it a go as a step in eliminating a possible cause of the problem. I have long deleted the file and never look back, letting AS2012 take care of the weather without the sim's own predefined thermals, usually upsetting things on short finals.

Sink Rate Warning & Hard Landing during Autoland
Try deleting the ThermalDescriptions.xml file from the root of your sim directory and report back, backup first.

Maintaining runway centreline in manual approach
Aircraft differences aside, enable thermal visualisation to see if there are any on your approach. I was dogged by severe thermals on finals to EGPN RW09 for years regardless of weather settings until a fellow simmer helped me out. Simply delete the ThermalDescriptions.xml file in your root FS directory, backing up if required. It contains all the default thermal data, which I've never missed as I use AS2012. I hope this helps.

Unable to open cargo doors
I don't think you can open the lower starboard cargo doors with no.2 engine running!

Control Sensitivity
The mouse is fine for me, or at least it was in FSX.
-
Control Sensitivity
I use a mouse for control. Pitch changes are overly sensitive and make for a rollercoaster ride and the roll changes seem quite slow by comparison. This is despite changing the sensitivity to no avail. Anyone else find this? It wasn't the same in FSX (now uninstalled).

Prepar3D v2 menu crashing with WoAI installed.
Does P3D crash when you try to LOAD/SAVE from the menu? Do you have World of AI packages installed? Mine did and after hours of investigation and countless crashes I have traced the problem back to 3 WoAI packages which have missing entries in the aircraft.cfg file. All of the packages use the WoA_HTAI_DHC6 model and are: Air Iceland Air Greenland TMK Air Commuter In the aircraft.cfg file the relevant [fltsim.n] section has a missing texture assignment. Simply adding the =(texture folder name here) will sort the problem. Be sure to only add the equals folder name eg. =FNA-Air Iceland. Do not add the texture. prefix. Strangely this missing entry only happens to the first installation of the aforementioned packages, subsequent airlines installed that use this aircraft seem to be OK with the texture assignment not blank. So if you aren't confident about editing files simply delete all/any of the affected packages and reinstall providing you already have an airline package installed which uses that aircraft type, currently: Cayman Airways Ethiopian Airlines Isle of Scilly Skybus Air Madagascar Nature Air Winair Maybe you could mention this to Peter at WoAI. For me, I'm just glad I've no more crashes when I try to load or save flights. Why a missing texture entry would cause a total program crash is anybody's guess. I hope this helps some poor folks out there who are experiencing this problem. BTW there are a couple of other packages with texture issues: Lion Sevenair(Tuninter) I just didn't bother installing them, it's a WoAI issue. ... my head hurts!

EGPN runway 09 approach turbulence
@cmpbellsjc Many thanks for your suggestions. I chose option 2 and can confirm it solved my issue in FSX Acceleration and P3D v2. It's only been 7 years I've put up with this and yes it is runway 10 not 09 duh! Best wishes for Christmas and have a Happy New Year.

EGPN runway 09 approach turbulence
Anyone else encountered this freaky turbulence a few miles out on finals? FSX Acceleration exhibits this annoying behaviour with every weather condition except clear skies and even with AS2012. Seems to have carried on into P3D v2 also so ruins operations in/out of this airport.

PMDG MD-11 Service Ceiling
The FMC will display the Optimal and Maximum operating altitude based on your current Gross Weight and Cost Index.

Top of descent paused ?
Pause at TOD occurs approx <30nm from TOD.Enable Pause at TOD in the menu and save the panel state, you should then find it works. You can load panel states, enable Pause and then resave them to make sure it works next time. The TOD is FMC calculated when importing FS generated flight plans so no STAR required, adding a STAR will probably alter the TOD slightly but nothing significant.

Low Climb Rate
Assuming you are not a total nube and are flying with an clean aircraft, what is your climb/cruise speed? Can you duplicate this behaviour?Have you completed the tutorial with regards to operational procedures?

Low Climb Rate
Just been to East Fortune Museum of Flight today (near Edinburgh (Scotland!)) so that has rekindled my interest in FSX.Sad to see all the aircraft in various states of disrepair however it was nice to see inside a BA BAC 1-11 again (last time it was BCAL) and BOAC 707 front end (last time was United African Airways).Enjoyed getting up close and personal with a CF6 and RB211.Never flown on a Comet but it was nice to actually board a 4C model as operated by Dan-Air.Not forgetting a one on one exterior check and interior wander through British Airways Concorde G-BOAA - the first on the London - New York run.Getting back to matters at hand, I'll have a look see what numbers come up on the MD-11 and get back to you.
