Immersion... Triple Monitors, 4K or single projector.
I share the 4790 processor you use. In addition, I have 2 Nvidia 960 2 Gig video cards linked in SLI. Couple this with three 24" monitors and I get a 5760x1080 display. Not perfect but adequate for me. P3D is giving me 25-30 fps with PMDG birds and Megascenery so I have little to complain about.

Eclipse yoke & P3D 3.0
Go to setup/controls and delete HAT VIEW commands. Then FSUIPC should be able to setup electric trim. I just went through this.

EZDOK MIddle Mouse Button Not Working
I just had Flight1 update my email so I can download a fresh key. I've not been close to my FS computer to confirm but everything points to that. Friday evening will prove or disprove that theory.

EZDOK MIddle Mouse Button Not Working
I've just reinstalled P3D 3.0 after a hard drive failure. Finally got EZDOK to install. Functionality seems good except for this middle mouse button issue. When I depress the middle mouse button, I hear a pop or noise in the sim telling me the sim recognized the button push but no movement. Was there ever a resolution to this? Mike Eppright

Eclipse yoke & P3D 3.0
I am using P3D 3.0 with CH Eclipse Yoke and Pedals. Other utilities and addons used are PMDG 737NGX, EZDOK and FSUIPC(registered). I need suggestions on how to configure the left hat as electric trim. I've tried a couple of directions without complete success.

Control conflict
Thanks, I'm well aware of the newness of 3.0. Also patient as adjustments are made. It is good to hear PD is working on issues with LM. When the dust settles, I think we will have a very enjoyable product.

Control conflict
Gentlemen, I have a fresh install of P3D 3.0. Along with that I have FSUIPC and EZDOK installed. All seems to be working smoothly except for one conflict. I disabled the left hat on my Eclipse yoke with EZDOK so I could designate that for electric trim. Electric trim now functions as desired but everytime I actuate the trim, the engines surge to full throttle. I've checked assignments in P3D, EZDOK and FSUIPC. What am I missing? Thanks Mike Eppright

P3D 737 livery question
Looks like a screen resolution issue. I will have to change that to see whole Livery Manager Page. Maybe that will be the answer. Got it. I had DPI set to 125%. When I changed it to 100%, then I could see whole Ops Center Page. All is well now. Thanks for the pic. It opened the door.

P3D 737 livery question
Yes, that is how I added the airline livery aircraft. But they were downloaded from PMDG. How do I use a livery that I already possess?

P3D 737 livery question
I understand that and have added several airline liveries using the PMDG Operations Center. Being a corporate pilot, I would like to add a couple of BBJ "Boeing Business Jet" liveries that I used in the FSX version. They are PTP files so, from what I have read, they should work if I can get them into the system.

P3D 737 livery question
All, I've finally broke down and moved from FSX to P3D. That wouldn't have happened without the release of the appropriate PMDG products. Moving along nicely now but have a wrinkle. I have a nice offering of PTP files but haven't figured out how to get those into the P3D PMDG 737 livery system. I figure there is a directory somewhere to do that but haven't found it yet. Thanks for any suggestions. Mike Eppright

Words I need to share with our Community
Tom, we met at the Wichita FANCON. I have enjoyed your focus and dedication and efforts in this hobby for many years. My prayer is that your last days are at peace and as pain free as possible. Rest easy and know that those that follow will look to your legacy as a pattern for the future.

T7 - two issues
I've got more investigating to do but after reading the PMDG intro starting page 21, I suspect my use of Ultimate Traffic and Megascenery is probably the problem. I will probably uninstall UT and be more selective about what states to activate prior to a flight. Thanks for the suggestions.

T7 - two issues
I opened event viewer and the apparent entry stated: "A request to disable the Desktop Window Manager was made by process (Flight Simulator X v10.0.61637.0)" As for VAS, I have hunch that Ultimate Traffic is too much baggage. I've printed the Intro p21-25 and will absorb. Thanks for help. I enjoy both PMDG Boeings just need to refine processes a bit.

T7 - two issues
OK, I am going to learn something here. Where do I find a crash log to post? Apparently, I don't monitor VAS usage. Enlighten me please.

T7 - two issues
Issue one: Hour and a half flight near end then BAMM FSX locks up and shuts down. Has happened before. I've installed per instructions, adjusted FSX.CFG as intro suggests. I am using a I5 OC @ 4.2 GIG with 8G Mem running WIN7/64. Only possible addon baggage is Ultimate Traffic and Megascenery (I disable states I am not slated to fly over). Am I missing something? I've learned not to use popups other than the FMS to preserve framerates. Issue two: I am considering EZDOK. Are there issues using EZDOK with PMDG? Is there framerate baggage? I'm a casual user since the day job is running a real life sim and occasionally flying a Lear 45 on a contract basis. Please don't shoot me!

Landing - timing when and where to do what?
One poster suggested that the 747 profile was a non precision approach and not an ILS. Same basics apply. As the aircraft crosses the final approach fix, final flaps should be selected and power set at known (good training would suggest at maneuvering altitude, set up landing config and a 700-800 fpm sink and stabilize speed and note power setting) setting theoretically setting up a stabilized approach whether non precision or ILS. EASA and FAA are now actively promoting constant angle approaches. By the way. FAA now recognizes GPS/LPV approaches with minimums less than 300' as precision. Short story: Approach flaps prior to FAF with speed reduced to < final flap speed. FAF- gear down - final flaps - stabilize by 1000 feet. It's not a perfect world. The FAA Private Pilot Guide to Aeronautical Knowledge indicates that straight and level is a series of climbs, descents and turns. THAT is how I fly an ILS :-)

30AUG13 - PMDG 777-200LR/F Release Plan Update (Important!)
Rob, thanks for the update. The 250 sim passengers in the boarding area want everything to be right. They are anxious to leave but understand safety issues. I will advise new estimates :-)

Undocking overhead panel
Along these lines, I've just reinstalled my NGX package 8900 and 6700 with SPs. I've been setting up my popups and most has gone well. Problem is when I press Shift+6 to bring up the overhead, it doesn't happen and framerates drop from 15-20s to 6-7s. When that happens it seems I'm hung up. Suggestions please? Thanks.

Vista / FSX access problem
The article I saw said to use the Windows disk and do a repair. My Disk offers me the option of repairing memory which didn't help or repair startup. I'm not having startup problems just the permission issue.
