What is the maximum range of the weather radar in the PMDG 777? The ASN "weather radar" tool has a maximum range of 50NM around the airplane for predicting the realistic percipitation, if I recall correctly. I hope the PMDG weather radar has a bigger range and can predict the percipitation for the current altitude correctly. Anyways, big news and thank you PMDG- Something we have not seen in FSX yet...

I know that you have turned off your failures, but just to be sure, go to the failure page of the fmc and look up if any failures are active. As Peter allready mentioned; "setting failures to off will not prevent mismanagement failures, such as snapping the AP to controls link." Other than that, I really can´t think of a reason why this is happening to you...- Autopilot Problem - Cant engage
Go in to the failure menu of the fmc. There you will (probably) see an autopilot A failure. Reset the failure and you´re good to go. The reason for that is that you moved the yoked while the autopilot was engaged. In the 737 there´s a link between the yoke and the autopilot. If you move the yoke too far while the autopilot is engaged, you will breake this connection and that´s why you can´t reconnect the autopilot. Happend to me twice :) maybe somebody else has some more details on this topic, or just read the manuals. There you will find a much more detailed description...- Your favorite flight?
The best so far was into Nice LFMN, with the special Visual/VOR approach for the RWY 04L. Especially with the HUD, which made this challenging approach so much easier.- Delta Ordering 737-900's

Not really, it just shows you the air demanded which flows through the ducts into the cabin. So its more like a trend indication for the cabin. When the duct temp is 60° (as we both observed), the system is trying to heat the cabin up very rapidly. A Duct temperature which represents the actual cabin temperature is possible, but very unlikely I think. Just think about all the people sitting in the cabin and the amount of heat they produce. The air conditioning system has always send in a lower temperature to keep the cabin cool, which means that the temperature in the ducts should be always a bit lower. But I´m actually not 100% sure about that Thanks for the info. I´ll try it out the next time I fly into an airport with an high outside air temperature.- Delta Ordering 737-900's

Yeah, I observe the same behaviour. In the Auto setting my cabin temperature goes up to 40°, while the airtemp in the duct goes up to 60°. It seems like the auto setting is demanding hot air for the cabin, which doesn´t make sense. When I turn the selector down to cold, everything goes back to normal (Cabin temp 23°, Duct temp 10°). There´s no indication for the temp in the cockpit. What you refer to is the CONT CAB SUPPLY DUCT temperature, and not the actual air temperature in the cockpit. There´s only an indication for the FWD and AFT Cabin air temperature.- RADIO ALT (Silly High)

I observed the same behaviour on my last three flights. Why does the cabin and duct heat up, if you have the temperature selector in auto with an outside temperature of 30° or more? I always had to "manually" set it down to cool and everything was back to normal in a matter of seconds. Doesn't make much sense to me, that the auto setting is heating up the whole air conditioning system instead of cooling it down. Can someone explain this behaviour to me, or is it maybe a little bug?- Customer Selectable Accel Height & TA Not Saving
Yeah, I´ve got the same problem. Would be nice if this could be solved by the servicepack. It also fails to remember that I don´t want to have the airstairs installed, at least my Delta NGX does.- How did this make it out of testing?
After more than 10 flights I can say that I get the almost the same fps as with the pmdg md-11, even at airports like KTPA from FlyTampa (around 20FPS). The only Airport where I´ve got very low FPS is KSFO from Flightbeam (Around 12FPS)... So I can confirm that KSFO is a high demanding FPS airport, but you shouldn´t blame PMDG for that...- Brake temperatures with autobrake
Well, I had a payload of 38´000 (about 75%) and 6000lbs of fuel left during the landing in KMSY. The outside temperature was at 34C. Even after 10min on the ground the temperature was still at 0.0. I think you are refering to the MD-11 High Speed RTO Video? In my 737NG FCOM I have a table which says that you have to wait about 45min to cool the brakes down. So it seems to take a very long time to cool them when your sitting on the ground. If you have such hot brakes, it´s much more effective to let the gear stay down after takeoff. Then it should take about 7min according to my FCOM.- Brake temperatures with autobrake
I did now 5 full flights with the NGX and so far everything works perfect. The only issue I observed during this flights is with the brake temperatures. On all my landings I used the autobrake setting 3, and flaps 30 or 40 and idle reverse. The strange thing now is that I never observed a change on the temperature indication. After every landing they stayed at the value 0.0. I only "achieved" to get hot higher temperatures when I used manual braking. Has anyone else made the same observation? Is this a failure or just the real behaviour? BTW i use the steel brakes- Who's the clown who defaulted the radio mins to 9000+ ?

I´m also a bit surprised about the brake temperatures. I did now 3 flights and each time i used Flaps 30, autobrake 2 and idle reverse thrust. After each landing my temperatures were still at 0. Only during taxi when i used manuell braking the temperatures were raising a bit (approx. 0.2). But as I know PMDG, this is probably the real behaviour- Radio Decision Height
