  1. I may be a bit confused (at my age that happens frequently); but shouldn't the "red line" be at 2700 rpm's? The top of the green, normal operating range, would be at 2500 rpm's. In between, the yellow warning arc. ???
  2. Interesting you should bring this up. I have been planning to try a specific scheduled route three days a week for a month with the only change being each day's real world weather. It would consist of an early morning flight from A to B and an evening flight from B to A, and I have pretty much settled on using the Carenado Cargomaster. Thought it might be a fun experience.
  3. Oops! Thanks for the correction, Ozzie. Of course you are correct. I said it totally backwards. I should have proof read a bit more carefully.
  4. It is usually ineffective to lean below about 3,000'. But after climbing through 3,000', look around the panel (right side) and find the EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) gauge. Begin leaning the mixture and watch the gauge. The temperature will begin to increase until it reaches a peak temp and begins to drop off. You should also hear a slight drop in the power as it reaches its peak. When you reach peak bring the mixture forward, back to richer, until the temp falls to about 40 degrees below peak or usually two increments. This technique is known as flying "lean of peak". Some pilot/owners today advocate flying rich of peak to maintain lower temps and less fuel use, but that is still a bit controversial. Oh, and you might want to just turn off that message. It can be rather bothersome once you have perfected the technique. Should work fine on most of your other piston aircraft. Good luck with your 337.
  5. Thanks, CJ. Also, please see here; http://milviz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=3047 Would hate to see you all spending your time in duplicating efforts. Jesse
  6. In my case I tested within less than five miles of the NDB. No changes to .cfg. Reverted to previous release and ADF works fine in same scenario.
  7. The SP1 update fixed the ADF and it was working well. However, since the latest update the ADF seems to be non-functional, again. Is there anyway to restore the ADF functionality? See here: http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?265314-Milviz-B55-ADF-not-working-properly and, here: http://www.milviz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=3047&hilit=ADF Thanks for any help.
  8. Take a look at this; it may help you. Worked well for me. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/409660-fix-for-shift-1-bug-in-some-carenado-planes/ Edit: Well, now don't I feel foolish. Sorry, I didn't even notice it was you. At least the threads got linked together and thanks again for sharing your solution. It has worked on several of my Carenado aircraft.
  9. Excellent discovery "PDX Flyer". Thanks for sharing this with us! I am going to link this in one of the Carenado forums where someone was having the same problem.
  10. Very sharp observation!! Sure hope you are correct; I am much more comfortable in an analogue cockpit, myself. Now I have two aircraft to buy; SWEET!!
  11. At twice the price I will take it. Refreshing to to see someone being creative, and actually following through!! Where did you see that????
  12. I have been struggling with poor frame rates and stutters with the C310R VC view. Where I normally have smooth 30 fps with any other aircraft, the 310 is getting high teens at best and stutters. Exterior views are fine. But, I discovered this was not so at night. The night vc is getting a steady and smooth 30 fps. In fact if I load a flight at night and then change the time to day the performance remains fine; a steady and smooth 30 fps. Any thoughts on what may be causing this behavior or perhaps a possible fix I could implement? Thanks, Jesse
  13. I think you may have to register at the REX forum to access this link but it may help with your issue. http://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1702-grass-texture-ii-fsx-only/
  14. I'm afraid I am the very small minority of one; but, I would really like to see a true analogue Lear 25 or 35.
  15. Please do advise when this is sorted. Thanks for your efforts!
  16. Just installed this evening. Great paint scheme and the lighting is going into all my Mixmasters. Thanks for sharing your excellent work.
  17. I'd go for a Carenado analogue Lear 25 or 35 in a heartbeat... no matter the price.
  18. Thanks for the follow up YG3. Very much appreciated, And, thank you BlueSky for getting us flying, again. Looking forward to your update, as well. Jesse
  19. I still use NickN's settings for ENB with just a few minor tweaks to suit my setup. It's still available here: http://www.simforums.com/forums/enb-bloom-mod-nicks-config-updated_topic32482.html
  20. I have been having the same error intermittently, depending on the location, for several weeks. At this point the Moving Map has become almost unusable for me. I don't see that the download is even available at the BlueSky site anymore. I don't know if they are even supporting the software anymore, but, haven't been able to find out anything.
  21. Jake, Thanks for the detailed explanation. It has been very helpful. In my case it looks like the Soundstream utility is going to be the best option. Nonetheless, I have a much better understanding of my sound card and drivers now. You have been very helpful. Thanks, Jesse
  22. Jake, Thanks for the input. I am looking into this some. I'm afraid my knowledge is a bit limited in this area and I am mostly stumbling over myself. My Motherboard is listed as an Alienware 07NHO and I am just using a integrated audio (Intel® C600/X79 series chipset High Definition Audio Controller ??) with both the Nvidia Audio and Realtek Audio Driver software. ?? At least I think that's what you asked. I haven't found any setting for "do not use... exclusively". At least not so far. Adrian, I am pretty sure that must be the software I was remembering. That may end up being my least expensive and time consuming route. Thanks
  23. Anyone know how to keep the FSX sounds audible when interacting with non-fsx windows; similiar to the effect of using the Pause on Task selection in the General Settings? I seem to recall a payware that advertised this capability but can no longer locate it. My searches for a solution are producing no results. Thanks, Jesse
