IRIS is processing their BD-5 for the DCS World. So, I think it is possible to make a civilian helicopter also. It may be possible to make a scenery also. The DCS World is a militry world, but we are not bound to fly military missions:)

Is it a bridge or a gas pipe line?

A request to our dear and respectable painters, there were several DC-3-65TPs (DC3-65ARTP) flying for the ICRC. I would be very gratefull if you repaint this BT-67 like them. Or is it a bad idea to repaint BT-67 like 65 at all?:)

Very good. Is it possible to place the stopwatch above OMI indicators?

May be like this one? Everything is visible, a stopwatch, RMI, HSI, Radio Altimeter.

Fuel consumption - hanamalu to Honolulu
Tory replied to Lethalgoat's topic in The Microsoft Flight (2012) Forum
Leaning the mixture you can save some money on fuel at any altitude, but spend a lot of money on engine overhauling. There is a good article about leaning for real flying. -
Yes, a kind of RPM, mixture, pitch and trim information can help us flying. Otherwise we have to learn the job of a test pilot:)

What are people expecting in Alaska?
Tory replied to Dillon's topic in The Microsoft Flight (2012) Forum
I expected (not really expected, but desired) a new Deluxe airplane, suitable for a fast long-distance medical flight. I expected them to fix the Maule's autopilot and the stop-watch. I expected all airfields "photoreal". I - do not laugh at me, please - expected rivers with streams:). -
Yes, the HUD in Flight is a scanty one. And what about a realistic stop-watch (for Delux aircrafts also) and some RPMs?:) I really miss RPM's flying Flight's cockpitless warbirds...

Thank you, HiFlyer! Nice images.

So... now we know Alaska will be Huge!...

It took me 4,5H to download the last update via Steam with my 12M connection... Steam's servers are not fast. And Steam is the only place I can use to by...:) -
Gentlemen, start your engines...
Tory replied to Kerberos42's topic in The Microsoft Flight (2012) Forum
Well, I think that the topic starter just thinks that femailes start their engines without remindings:) -
Gentlemen, start your engines...
Tory replied to Kerberos42's topic in The Microsoft Flight (2012) Forum
Just check your mixture control. When you restart your challenge Flight! sometimes cuts it off. Advance your mixture control and your engine will restart as your mags are On in most cases. -
the job board could be interesting for alaska

The P-40! Released At Microsoft Flight.

It is very easy to go down. It is not easy to go up... If people knows only lie, how can they know about truth? I do not understand why MS do not make 2 versions, with VC and without? Who is this "wise" person decided not to make cockpits at all? Why he (she) thinks, that those people who likes cockpits must not fly WWII aircrafts from the cockpit? -
How long does Flight take to start for you?
Tory replied to fsxkitty's topic in The Microsoft Flight (2012) Forum
2 minutes with Hawaiian pack, less then 1 with clean installation. -

P-40F walk around -
We have the Great Britain in BOB already:) But I'd like to fly there in Flight too:)

1. I miss a possibility to change briefly views in the cockpit - to look at radiopanels and so on - like by "A" button in FSX. I have a small resolution monitor and it takes me a lot of time to look at radio panel with current Flight's view system. 2. In a "Steam" Flight when I press F12 it brings me not only sat view but also captures the screen. No way to set the screen capture function back to "V" button - when I try to do it through the option menu nothing happens.

Joshua Howard Interview with AVSIM
Tory replied to Tom Allensworth's topic in The Microsoft Flight (2012) Forum
Thank you, TomThank you, JoshuaThe interview is an interesting one, it is a good rehash. Some points from me:I still use old Flight Unlimited 2 and Flight Unlimited 3. At this stage Microsoft Flight looks almost analogous, just ATC and traffic are missing. For me, the Flight is an unexpected step back, to the Flight Unlimited conception of flying. At the same time, I like Flight very much for the feeling of flight it gives me, I feel the air here, I really feel it, thanks MS team for this. I am a virtual "bush pilot" and I am happy with this product. I'll by Alaska for sure. But... today the world of Flight is so empty... no big jets flying from/to Flight's big airports and staying at the gates, no other small airplanes around you (multyplay can be fun, but limited on numbers of flying planes a bit, I do not have a feeling of "busy" sky). And one more point to add. About new "customers types"... in Flight we have to work a bit to prepare our planes for the mission - to calculate fuel needed and other things. And there is definitely a lack of tools to do it in the sim. How those "new customers" will do it? I can do it, as I was "flying" since FS3 and have some real-life experience. But what about those "new type customers"? I think this is a question for the next intreview.
