  1. I experienced it in the NGX yesterday, had never seen it before, just a quick push on the throttles and it gets fixed right away. Luckily I had seen this thread, otherwise I had been stuck trying to find out what was wrong
  2. Nice one Alan, thats a really good example. Here is the recording if anyone is interested: Respect to the ATC, he did an amazing job. EDIT: Found the radar screen as well, but it has bad audio http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJeEl0-1sjM
  3. My post: For example, if the tower clears you to FL 120 you could enter 120 there in case you get worried that you would forget it. As you can see this is an example. You could still enter 120. But I admit that it was quite a bad choice for an example.
  4. As far as I know they are only memory wheels. Fore example, if the tower clears you to FL 120 you could enter 120 there in case you get worried that you would forget it. HTH Manfred EDIT: Ryan beat me to it
  5. To be honest, I don't think that it is possible. I think the easiest solution is to buy a wide screen.
  6. Thank you for your support :) I find it more needed than the doors...
  7. You could also take it one step further and make a click spot for ground power connection above the ground power switch.
  8. Just want to jump in and say that the handling is very different when compared empty or full. When almost empty the aircraft will act like a rocket and have a climb rate of about 5000 feet / minute. When it is full I have great trouble even keeping the aircraft in the air. My best suggestion is to try around with different weight settings and learn to fly it with them. Regards Manfred
  9. Sound like a really cool idea
  10. Just wanted to recommend TOPCAT and the fuel calculator as well. It does it's job perfectly :good: EDIT: finally got it right
  11. Quick question, what happens to you people if you delete FSX.cfg (with backup of course)? For me when FSX generated a new one it totally screwed up my system by making wings come from all parts of the airplane. Anyway, according to Ryan I have a FSX error but I disagree since everything works except the 2D panel. Btw, I have found out that I usually get at night and almost never during daylight, someone who can confirm? For me the most effective way of fixing it is just resizing the 2D panel a few millimeters. It may come back directly after but you are fine for a few seconds.
  12. yes, I remember it that way too. Something like "only turn on AI if you fly through visible moisture and the TAT is below 10C."
  13. LIDO system. Thank you Lufthansa! :im Not Worthy: Maybe now we can get ILS rwy 26 at ESSA programmed in the FMC :)
  14. For me an update and a patch are 2 very different things.
  15. On another note, is there a patch planned to fix the final small stuff that the MD11 has problems with? it would be really great!
  16. A wild guess would be that there is an anti-virus issue somewhere. Have you tried installing with your anti-virus off. HTH Manfred
  17. After your post I had to look through them all. Found these typos: Itlay, Solvenia and Luthuania. Well done Boeing!
  18. ok, it was a bit different from what I expected. I thought that for example the state you just said had a name like "secured", "ready", "shut down" or something like that. My guess would have been in the line of "Good morning Captain. the airplane is secured, talk to you later about the amount of fuel." Didn't know that you actually tell everything that has been made. Anyway thank you for your help ^_^ Manfred
  19. SAS pilots told me that it is mandatory for them to do a realign during all stops. If they are in a hurry they are allowed to do a quick align. Read you post about the different states a pilot gets an airplane and I wonder, what do you call the different states? Is it just: "Hello Rónán, is the airplane parked in the long haul state?" or do you have other names for them? Also wondering if the names are standardized or is it company specific? Regards Manfred
  20. I read it somewhere. It was an older thread about this subject. I am pretty sure that it was Ryan that said that there only will be the Boeing ones available.
  21. I would really want this start up sequence. My guess is that PMDG already have implemented a kind of "realistic" and "fast" start up and just laugh at this post
  22. But how do you program NADP 2 in your FMC?
  23. Yep, I am really annoyed by that because Level-D has stated that they won't make a freight version. That means that we still go without a decent freight 757. Also, I really doubt that an airplane that has been in development for 5+ years is up to date to the current technology. They totally lost the thread to the amount of complexity that Flightsimlabs and PMDG can achieve. I think PMDG should reconsider since Daryl stated: "PMDG can produce whatever they want. There is NOTHING preventing them from producing any airplane they want. They want the 757, why don't they produce it? You want a 757 from PMDG, ask away..." Found it here: http://www.leveldsim.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=24453&title=future-of-level-d-757. It really is a big hole in the FS community not to have a 757. Just my 2 cents
