  1. Russian invasion? But the perfect plane for those woods.
  2. No doubt what is the nicest plane in the row at #2... And the sound...!
  3. Future of commercial air traffic? Great set!
  4. Yes, that was me. I meant to recognize some landmarks, for instance the Randa landslide, that I hardly thought to be shown in a generic/stock scenery, as well as streets and places in the little village of Taesch (visible at #9 and #15) that I know very well.
  5. It's so impressive how real a good phtoscenery looks. - This comments all three posts of you wonderful Alps series; however, this here is the one with the most rememberings for myself. When GDR ceased to exist, Swiss Alps and especially the Mattervispa valley was one of the first "western" holiday location I visited, together with my parents in these early 90ies. And since then I used to come back again and again. Btw, shot #9 shows the location of Randa landslide which occured in 1991 at the lower edge of the picture. Not to mention the summits, from left: Mte. Rosa - Lyskamm - The Twins (Castor & Pollux) - Breithorn - Little Matterhorn - the Theodul pass - and then Matterhorn itself, not the highest, but the most prominent peak of the Zermatt circle of summits.
  6. Great and very realistic impressions, as always, Ed. --- Just buying ZBAA, but I don't believe in AES being actively developed anymore.
  7. Hm, another 2.5 years later... finally ZBAA for FS2004! Many blue roofs in the surrounding. World is good.
  8. That would be fine... it was on summer vacation. However, with 800 km distance from my city not too far away.
  9. Such a fantastic airfield! It seems that I drove along the nearby street last summer but didn't realize that it is an airfield at all. Great shots.
  10. Looks well. Are the trains animated?
  11. That's what a classic plane is supposed to do. And this scenery is in need of a classic plane.
  12. Wonderful. And as John F said: So natural. I'm always fascinated by the new class cockpits. It looks like playing a flight simulator inside a flight sim... errr, plane.
  13. He didn't show us pictures of the Pax cabin, who knows... Anyway: Great pictures. I can imagine that after the flight, Bernd, you actually felt like after a good vacation. Or like needing one.
  14. So what? Engines are running, seats are made from leather... People are very demanding these days. May it be that the plane played a role in a major crime? Look at the sprayed red colour at the left side of the nose. Bloody. But the spinners are polished.
  15. Excellent shots. For me, #1 is the best - pure atmosphere...
  16. To be honest, the video you pointed me to some weeks ago (GAF to Tbilisi) did not only inspire me for this flight but awaked my interest in the A310, too. I'm thinking of buying the CLS model. Or can we hope that TDS gives us one... Thank you for commenting! Thanks Patrick!
  17. Hi Sascha, same question (sorry...): Are there any news about the release of spring? It's the last little part that still lacks to be 110% lucky with Evo! Many thanks, and take your time, though. Regards, Harald
  18. According to this source: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flugbereitschaft_des_Bundesministeriums_der_Verteidigung#Großraumflugzeuge 10+23 is the third ex-Interflug plane, while 10+24 till 10+27 are ex-Lufthansa planes. In particular, 10+26 was D-AIDE "Speyer" with Lufthansa. This information comes from Wikipedia, but is confirmed here at the site of Luftwaffe: https://www.luftwaffe.de/portal/a/luftwaffe/start/waff/tran/a310/mrt/!ut/p/z1/04_Sj9CPykssy0xPLMnMz0vMAfIjo8zinSx8QnyMLI2MfMIsXQw8DX29TS0tnTwNDMz0wwkpiAJKG-AAjgb6wSmp-pFAM8xxmOHo7GWiH6wfpR-VlViWWKFXkF9UkpNaopeYDHKhfmRGYl5KTmpAfrIjRKAgN6LcoNxREQBZ05uM/dz/d5/L2dBISEvZ0FBIS9nQSEh/#Z7_B8LTL2922LV9D0I1MK599BACJ4 (Translated: Four Airbus A310-304 transferred from Lufthansa were converted to Multi-Role-Transport planes between mid-1998 and October 2001...). While here: https://www.luftwaffe.de/portal/a/luftwaffe/start/waff/tran/a310/pax/!ut/p/z1/04_Sj9CPykssy0xPLMnMz0vMAfIjo8zinSx8QnyMLI2MfMIsXQw8DX29TS0tnTw9PQz1wwkpiAJKG-AAjgb6wSmp-pFAM8xxmOFo5mqqH6wfpR-VlViWWKFXkF9UkpNaopeYDHKhfmRGYl5KTmpAfrIjRKAgN6LcoNxREQBZ58Se/dz/d5/L2dBISEvZ0FBIS9nQSEh/#Z7_B8LTL2922LV9D0I1MK599BA6E5 is the description for the Standard PAX version. Althought the registration 10+23 is not named there, the picture shows "Kurt Schumacher", and Kurt Schumacher is in fact 10+23; so this seems to confirm Wiki. I hope the links work.
  19. Great shots. I particularly like that one with the jungle behind the fence.
  20. Many thanks P_7878 for posting this set, which has a special connection to the town I live in - Dresden. Its airport area was designed to be the site of the Baade 152 production. When I look outside my window, I see some of the hangars which originally were the factory hangars; today they house the airport terminal and EADS maintenance facilities. Your pictures show the series II. The first prototype which flew (and crashed at March 5 1959) was a series I which can be recognized by its undercarriage: two central skids front and rear, two supporting wheels at every wingtip. That was a heritage of German Junkers bomber projects, which were transformed into the 152 project after WW II. This was done by German engineers who were brought to the Soviet Union fter the war and returned in the 50ies to build an East-German aviation industry. Btw I can visit the cemetery where the four brave test pilots who crashed in March 1959 are buried; its a five minute walk from my home and I pay them respect quite often. One can only guess what could have been happened without the crash. I think the project wouldn't have had success though, because it overstressed the GDR economy. It's also said that the USSR would never have accepted a competitor to its aviation industry. However, I had the opportunity to look at some parts of the 152 here in Dresden - at the airport and in the transportation museum, as an engine and even a section of the fuselage of an incomplete B prototype - and I only can wonder what if... Regarding the A310s, these are fantastic shots. Unfortunately, two of the three ex-Interflug planes don't fly for the German Air Force anymore. They still have 10+23; there is video footage at Youtube showing a flight Cologne - Tbilisi - Cologne with 10+23 painted in a grey livery. It seems that this plane won't have a long life anymore, too.
  21. Thanks Nev, John, P_7878 and Bernd for commenting. It's freeware: https://www.avsim.su/f/fs2004-aircrafts-40/scs-tu-134-2-0-original-59825.html Nice that you enjoyed there; a view towards Cologne Zentrum was showed in my last post. Oh yes I did.
  22. Hi, this is the follow-up to my Atlantic flight, as I proceeded from Cologne to my home-airport-in-choose, Tbilisi. The first picture shows no Tu-134, but a German Air Force A310 as a tribute to this legendary plane - one of those which were purchased still by GDR's Interflug and passed to German Air Force. It is always interesting to rediscover what one's AI traffic is good for. Now this is my Tupolev shortly after taking off, showing the view towards Bonn: Into the sun: The Danube river near Bratislava: After flying over Hungary and Romania, we have to cross the Black Sea: We arrive at the Turkish coast over Trabzon... ... and then at the eastern coast of the Black Sea near Batumi: Beginning the descent over the northern slope of the Lesser Caucasus: View towards the Lesser Caucasus and Armenia: Flying the BAGE5B STAR approach to Rwy 31L Passing former Vaziani Air Base: Final approach: A nice place between the Russian beauties: Finally there: I hope you'll like the shots. Regards, Harald
