  1. You need to sign in to read it but it's worth it. Aig is setting up their AI manager to work for online model matching. https://www.alpha-india.net/forums/index.php?topic=35321.msg350191#new
  2. How long have you been waiting for support? They are usually very good support wise, they don't have 18 million users on at any given time for nothing.
  3. Check your repaint assignments in UTL v2. There's a second DLH B748 assigned that isn't included in the included liveries. Remove that from the assignments and you should be good.
  4. No, the STAR is left in unless it is incorrect which would then get replaced by the correct one and issued in the initial clearance or changed while in-flight being a dynamic environment.
  5. Now that's a tough one that normally gets all sorts of opinions on. I personally don't use any as none of them are close to being good enough. There's also too many variances between countries/regions. One program might be ok for use in the US, but nowhere else and vise versa for Europe, and everywhere else around the world.
  6. It's actually very common to not even file a SID, and even if you do it gets striped out in processing prior to reaching ATC (especially at the busier airports). ATC will then assign what is appropriate when you get for your clearance/PDC.
  7. Ran live update earlier today as well, and as usual it went just fine.
  8. You shouldn't need to use an add-on organizer. Central is smarter than it gets credit for and users going in to "fix" issues using an add-on organizer that aren't really issues often causes worse problems. Don't worry about what the scenery library looks like, it gets messed up by the whole xml addon method, just know that Orbx Central is doing is job at long as you have your insertion points properly set. If you still have terrain issues at BFI after setting the insertion points, then I'm thinking you have some other conflicting scenery or airport file. Any chance that you have Traffic Global installed?
  9. And you have just Orbx NA LC? I swapped out my custom ade's for both SEA and BFI and tried the ones that came with DD Seattle X and still don't have any issues with terrain/elevation.
  10. Not your scenery library. Open ORBX Central and then settings. Select Insertion point from the bottom left. Orbx Airports and Regions needs to be inserted below your bottom most addon scenery (what you have added/installed, not the default scenery) and the Orbx Global openLC goes below your Airports and regions (which should be set by default). This is a very important step that for some reason, MANY users either set it incorrectly or don't set it at all. Over the past 10-12 years (yup, it's been around that long 😉 ) there have been hundreds of posts about scenery issues, many blaming vector or faulty layering when it was the users themselves that hadn't properly set their insertion points.
  11. BFI should be fine as well. What is your ORBX library insertion point set to?
  12. It could be a number of things on your end. What version of the sim is it? What other scenery addons do you have active in the area? ORBX FTX PNW will have it's own airport files for all of those airports that will conflict unless you disable them and also the ORBX library insertion points needs to be properly set. Not doing any of these can cause issues seen above. From the images posted by the OP, there's all sorts of conflicting scenery objects. I'm running V5 but it was also fine on previous p3d versions as well as ORBX everything and have no elevation issues at DD Sea-Tac, or BFI.
  13. Not scientifically, just in reading posts from all of the various groups and forums. Most users with 8gb cards have no problems with VRAM, same with those with 10 and 11gb. Maybe I'll try it out for something to do, I have a spare 1070ti lying around that I'll swap out to see what I can find.
  14. It's not just that, it's like system ram. Up to a certain point the more you have, the more the system uses. An 8gb card will use less than one that has 10,11,24 etc, it's not linear. For many 8gb is just fine, and others with 11gb have the same vram problems.
  15. I honestly think that it's more luck of the draw. I have FT KLAS on top of FTX SCA as well as MAIW KLSV and a ton of custom HD ai and the VRAM issue posted by some isn't an issue at all. Sure I have a card with 11gb of VRAM, but the more you have, the more the sim uses and I never see even close to 7 GB and have the sim using 4096 textures and nothing turned down to save vram. From the posts over the past few years, it actually seems quite random, most have no issues with it, but it still leaves many having to penny pinch when it comes to settings regardless of their hardware. There just isn't a one fix, fixes all solution to this.
  16. There's really nothing to it, same with adding it to any version of P3d. Just manually add it to your scenery library, Terrain first, then City and then the Airport.
  17. I use ADE to remove the airport beacons wherever possible. They look horrible in P3d and I would prefer just not to see them at all.
  18. Reactivating is usually very painless, often much less than a day.
  19. There is no GA included in this beta of UTL2.
  20. It takes a few mins in the program setup and once done it will take some time to download and install the airlines and liveries etc, but it becomes fairly automatic. You get to select what carriers you want and can also set it to install in bulk. On the flip side, UTL is super easy to install but still lacks many many liveries, and still uses the same models from UTL with no PBR or DL etc. Sure you can add your own models and liveries to UTL but that is far more work and time intensive than just setting up AIG's AI Manager. Check out this really good youtube tutorial video to help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4g8RSLlV8g
  21. The cargo addons don't work with the utLive2 version. It does have an import and create feature, but it's not currently active in this beta build and also uses a different format. Overall, much better off just going right to the good stuff and use AIG's freeware AI Manager. Get the good models with PBR, far superior plans and all of the current liveries.
  22. It's still more than good enough and there's no way that I'm going to disable it, everything has a price.
  23. Which dashed lines are you referring to Rob? I'm searching around and I the only dashed lines I see are runway centerlines and I'm not seeing any Antialiasing issues. Can you post a screenshot?
  24. No complaints about performance on my end. I tried it at night as well and the new DL looks incredible! Loving this update so far. The buildings downtown are much improved and plentiful as well. My only request now would be to have the Alex Fraser bridge added in. It's just iconic to a 26 arrival.
  25. The update was actually just released only 55 minutes according to their FB feed and I got my email about 5 minutes ago. Overall, that's really not bad at all!
