  1. Strange, the GTN Simulator program from the Garmin Trainer will run fine on its own, but will not run if called by the Flight One GTN or the trainer's G500 or G600 trainer. That is evidently the cause of my black screen issue.
  2. Still just a black screen in the sim. I've tried everything I can think of. Uninstalled and reinstalled, disabled antivirus, etc. Does anyone have a solution? The GTN trainer program works fine.
  3. I was able to get the trainer working by reinstalling and running the installer as an adminstrator. However, I have been unsuccessful at getting the GTN to display in the sim.
  4. Thanks. Although Aerosoft did not change the time stamp on the new file from the one I previously downloaded, a redownload of the file from the German mirror site solved the problem.
  5. The installer I used is shown as P3D v4 on the Aerosoft web site, and I confirmed that it is the new installer. A few more facts for background: I previously owned P3D v3 and 737NG but uninstalled both a few months ago when moving to XPlane. I now own P3D v4, which is installed to E:\P3D v4. I checked the registry and made sure that P3D v3 and v2 folders were deleted, so only P3D v4 remains. The install path in the registry for Lockheed Martin/P3D v4 correctly shows my P3D v4 folder as the install location. Please advise. Thanks. Mark Neath
  6. Um, today is Wednesday. it is indeed the new installer. Please advise.

  8. I am trying to install using the new v4 installer from Aerosoft. I know that it is the correct installer (or at least assume so) because of the readme file that addresses v4 and the file date. I am getting the error that installation cannot continue because "your registry does not show a valid P3D installation location." I verified that the registry is pointing to the correct location for P3D v4. There are no other P3D installs. I verified that NGX was uninstalled (it had been for many months and no longer shows in the add/remove programs or the registry). I rebooted the computer. Am I missing some other step? Mark Neath
  9. GTN 750 FSCaptain & Ideal Flight NGX MultiCrew Experience Vector
  10. I like it, but I'm still in search of the perfect career add-on for P3D and XP. I don't like to be limited in the planes I can fly or tied down to bases, so FSE is an option, but it doesn't make you pay for bad flying. Ideal Flight is great because I love flying to random airports and getting graded on the flight, but it is not yet compatible with P3D v4.
  11. In version 2.2.1.7, I cannot open the Com Standby window. It minimizes to the task bar and then will not enlarge. I have tried moving the main window to see if it is behind it, but no luck. If I click on the new STBY window in the task bar, nothing happens. This is not an issue with NAV STBY window. Only COM. As an aside, is there any other way to adjust the controller volume?
  12. Any ETA on the XP11 update of MCE? Thanks.
  13. I updated MCE today to the latest version, and the XP11 737-800 is no longer a recognized plane. I understand that MCE has not been updated, however, with past versions of MCE, I did have some functionality with the plane (the copilot could adjust autopilot settings, radio, etc.). Is there an ETA for the XP11 update? Short of that, would it be possible to restore the functionality that existed in the earlier version of MCE? I think I was using version 1.3.2.0 before.
  14. I noticed today that I am unable to select "copilot tunes radios" unless the copilot responds box is also checked. Unchecking the latter unchecks the former. Is that by design? This is with version 2.2.0. Thanks.
  15. I am also a P3D convert to XP11. In my opinion, these are the must-have paid add-ons: 1. xCamera 2. xEnviro 3. Pilot2ATC (particularly if you are doing IFR flying, but it's good for VFR too) As for planes, I've tried about six of the most popular ones and my favorite with XP11 is the Aerobask E1000. It works nearly flawlessly despite being a PT6 (cf. the Quest Kodiak) and has an awesome touch screen GPS that reminds me of the GTN 750. The iXEG 737 is a work of art. It has some minor issues with XP11 flight dynamics and such, but it's still worth a buy. I fly it a lot. For freeware scenery, Prefab Airports is a must-have imo if you fly general aviation and like smaller airports, FSeconomy, etc. It does have some conflicts with the E1000--see the support forum about that.
  16. Fix for the parking brake hydraulic issue is welcome for the IXEG. I have been forced to race to start APU before leaving the ramp, lol. Relatively few bug fixes tells me that the February 15 release date (per Steam) is still on track.
  17. Ok, will do. The excellent Xorganizer plug in shows the runways at each airport but not the Navaids. It would be great if a plug in like this could read the navaids too. Edit: this is useful. Looks like one can view the NAV data by opening the nav.dat files. http://developer.x-plane.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/XP-NAV1100-Spec.pdf
  18. Is there a way while flight planning to see which XP11 runways have ILS approaches? I've been burned twice now picking approaches that have ILS in real life but not in XP11. I know one can see on the map as described above, but only when close to the airport.
  19. Thanks. Yes, I failed to notice the autobrake wasn't armed. Egg on my face. Time to bind a key to autobrake deploy.
  20. I am not getting any autobrake on landing with the IXEG 737 and XP 11. I know autobraking was a bug in earlier betas, but I thought it was fixed at beta 3. I'm using PB6. Is anyone else having this problem? I set autobrake to 3, retard throttle and land, but no braking.
