Thanks PJ, Thats quite a complement . That is truly how I felt, and the pool is 20ft from my office. I didnt get a 580 but I got me a well used and broke in gtx560TI. Paul, what me keep on trying was all you guys/gals cant forget the ladies, showing the flightsim community how wonderful DX-10 is and how easy it could be achieved. I was using an AMD card a 6950 and when I was on DX-9 ,I was very happy with the performance and my framerates. I decided to switch to DX-10 and for the life of me I could not get that card to perform for me. I tried all of steves tweaks and It just wouldnt respond. I dont have a real powerful PC but its ok. I was so frustrated with my computer I wanted to teach it how to swim. I do believe PC's do have different traits. I hope you get yours lined out. As for mine I through in the hat and went nvidia and with the help of all of the fine folks here I have a very sweet flight sim.

I disagree about the 4096 textures fixing a blurry upper panel. I fly all aircraft including PMDG 737 NGX and MD-11 with 1024 textures and I donot have problems with blurry panels. I would suspect something in cfg. file. or NI setting.

For me it is the all brand new FSX/DX-10.

Hi Rafman, Have you changed folder options yet? If not go to control panel select folders open view tab and untick dont show hidden files and drives and then tick show hidden files and drives.This will allow you to open fsx.cfg file. Hope this helps. Jamie

Never had this problem. Two builds ago I was using unregistered FSUIPC. I no longer use it. No problems and no crashes. Works beautifully.

Is this the PMDG NGX you are talking about? If so there are cfg settings that will help. First we need more info on your PC, and a copy of your fsx.cfg would be helpful.

Go to start, control panel, folder options. view, tick show hidden files and tick show hidden files and drives. Once that is done go to my computer and type into search box user name ect. I just type in fsx.cfg and the search will find it. Jamie

I downloaded the free 30 day version and used it frequently. I loved it. I did not have any problems at all. First defrag on my 80 gig raptors using priority took approx 3 hrs for drive c to complete. A noticable difference in boot time and performance. I have not purchased at this time, but when I have the funds I will buy it. Jamie Moses
