  1. Surely if you go to a website you trust to buy something you want its fine to switch protection off briefly. You have have to be wary taking sweets from strangers (so I'm told) but that doesn't stop you going in the sweet shop to buy some! 😊
  2. Excellent review Nick. The scenery looks so close to a real video recording rather than a sim. I'm delighted with V5 and as you say - it is the future of Flight Sim! Thoroughly recommend your video and at just 12 minutes its a great view for anyone on the fence about buying. Also Chock / Alan has a longer and very informative review video at nearly 55 minutes. 3. I had this twice a few days ago. Disabled my antivirus and all worked fine. Great rule.
  4. I have many add ons working fine and detecting. However there a number of these (all Orbx sceneries or airports) (9 so far) where the next time I restart P3D it is asking again - and again - and again. Some of the Orbx items are in the P3DV5 folder and some in the Orbx library? Also, I have Chase Plane set to autoload with the launch of P3d V5 but each time is it prompting me to click a button to authorise it. Is this normal? Thanks
  5. I’m the same. Autopilot works but no AFCS lights. What a wonderful aircraft again!!!
  6. Awesome - ready to download NOW!
  7. The autopilot altitude selector is set and indicated by right clicking on the small round button on the altimeter right in front of you.
  8. Hi Scott I'm an ex RC4 user. If you are looking for an alternative to RC4 could I also suggest you have a trial with PFE from On Course Software? I used this yesterday with our beloved LJ35 and the experience was 'pretty' close to perfect - frankly several magnitudes better than my experiences with RC4. I normally fly on Pilotedge so know what should be happening. PFE includes taxi instructions (in and out) and covers VFR. I found a lengthy new tutorial video which lays it all out very well. here. Kind regards. DEAN
  9. Hi Guys I have recently had to reinstall my FA50 with Ramon's Mod. The GTN gauge is showing but it is flashing with the background changing from blue to yellow to white. I have uninstalled GTN, Mod and FA 50 and rebuilt it all from scratch. Using P3d V4 with the hot fix. My mod was downloaded in January. Thanks anyone.
  10. The Xtreme has the clearest virtual cockpit I have seen. It is crystal clear and complex! I'm not that comfortable with it's unrealistic speed controlling autopilot which is not realistic - but it works! I would hope that version 3 might have better IAS mode - when it is released. Great support too - if you ever need it!
  11. I posted this back in December and have experienced multiple engine failures in the Falcon and the LearJet and in other aircraft -virtually every flight. The answer (in case anyone else suffers this) was nothing to do with Flysimware or the aircraft manufacturers. I was flying on Pilotedge (I believe problem exists on Vatsim too) where, if using any Carenado models as AI there is some anti copying software (from Carenado) that cuts your mixture! Delete the AI and the problem goes away. Pity it took me two months to come across the forum reports of this and fix the problem.
  12. Mark I know what B is. I was using that as an example. I'll try another clean install plus delete and report back. The default aircraft is the Raptor not the F35 as stated above in 4.4. Is that still ok? I am experiencing engine failures with several more aircraft nowadays if I dont load the default aircraft first time. Can you reply to my query about speed trim please? Thanks Dean
  13. Just downloaded this version and noticed 2 possible glitches. I'm sure the tooltip in the trim wheel used to say airspeed or vertical speed whichever climb mode is selected? Now just vertical speed. The N1 guages seem to be sticking? If I throttle back from climb speed the throttles move but the 3 guages stick. If I press a key (like B) they wake up and move. Great aircraft Mark - raw power!
  14. I have both. The Mod installed F1GTN then I converted it to RXP.
  15. Thanks Guys. I had a fault plan and version 2.11 even though I thought I had updated. Now properly importing from folder Sim Brief seems pretty acceptable- I’ve just created KLAX to EGCC. 3 locked points so off to study that now! Cheers.
  16. Hi I am struggling to get the flight plan import 'button' to show up. 1 I have upgraded RXP to the latest version. 2 I have followed the instructions in the RXP manual and have created a FPLN folder at C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Trainers\Databases\FPLN and I have unzipped the trial data into the folder. Then restarted P3DV4. Went to Flight Plans and Menu and still no import button. Have the instructions or location changed, please? Thanks Dean
  17. Ramon Sorry for delay responding. The mod works great with the RXP GTN750. Made a Carenado aircraft beautiful and functional! Thanks. Dean
  18. Installed the mod thanks. Looks great. But, I couldn’t get it to follow GPS NAV course. (Selected GPS on GTN.) Converted to RXP. Still wouldn’t follow UNTIL I added a RXP pop up gauge. On this GTN the NAV works - but this guage seems to have no link to the two GTNs in the panel???
  19. Thanks Ramon. Message sent. Looking forward to this. Dean
  20. I’d like this mod but can’t PM the author. Is there a download link?
  21. The new digital altimeter with altitude selector is great. Nice and clear. The altitude ‘set’ has tooltips that seem to indicate a middle mouse wheel button is pressed to set the altitude. Should there be a the light or an indicator that comes on to indicate this setting has been logged? Middle mouse buttons is also a setting with ChasePlane which can interfere.
  22. It takes a while to set it up but it is worth the effort. Flying now with the Trackhat and it is working perfectly. Just bought a second for another headset - so must be a satisfied customer!
  23. The key point for me is that this is a modern GA aircraft. Currently available to purchase in the real world (for a slightly higher price)!
